Magos_Prime
Hello there. I'm kinda new at Teragon and have been following the Tallman Brad YouTube videos (they are excellent and would highly recommend if getting into teragon) I've however hit a brick wall. I have (I believe) got a decent heightmap sorted out and a biome map but I cannot seem to get teragon to produce what I'm after, it produces similar but messes up the biomes/water and doesn't generate any towns or similar. I'm not sure what is going on and am struggling to find any kind of documentation. I'm basically trying to make a 12K map of NE England. I'm not particularly precious of the materials I have created to do this. Heck they might be the reason it is broken/flawed. Would anyone be willing/able to assist with sorting this out and getting a server map centred around the Durham/Newcastle NE UK area extrapolated from real map data up and running? This is the heightmap i've made from the real world data and am importing into teragon https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k09F2gZwCLq6ogljH34gSdTpotzR9J4n/view?usp=sharing This is the biome map for overlay https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZAMnzmlrqbQs8-Zd1jSyMMQDP42qqiSe/view?usp=sharing This is what Teragon is producing: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Jbdalwl5wBTXTmsgWpDOFioXu4IUsiOe/view?usp=sharing And this is my teragon command queue https://drive.google.com/file/d/1egM0CJpEE_lursMNRUr8SNX_zOpHfD_b/view?usp=sharing Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure why teragon seems to be completely ignoring most of the biome map on top of everything else.

It is also linked to in the Teragon post in this forum. Check it out. Also, as the Teragon post in this forum says, you can get help from discord. Most likely it is an issue with your heightmap and/or your create towns command parameters that are preventing the towns from appearing. That, or you have the wrong paths set up in Tools>Initial Setup. I'm on my phone so can't look into it on the forum here, especially with Google Drive stuff. Check in discord and I or someone can help more easily. Also note that if you are trying to use a real world heightmap, you will need to smooth out areas for towns. Real world maps are very rough. You could increase the threshold values in create towns rather than smoothing out areas on the map but you will probably end up with pretty steep slope around towns by doing so. Cheers chap will look. I've found the discord will ask there for further help.
spud42
your height map is too dark. almost all of it is around or below the default water level. You need to brighten the image.
