Brawlers39
Hey all, I am experiencing something have not in my close to 500 hrs playing the game. As I am loading to the main menu of the game it abruptly crashes. It appears the game files are being loaded as the crashes occur when "loading particles" or "loading block textures." This is fresh install from Steam and after verifying game files 4-5 times between restarts to see if the issue persists . . . and it does. I have also installed and attempted to run the game but the same issue rears its head. please find the crash log: https://pastebin.com/CEsKcCME Any insight as to what is occurring would be greatly appreciated. Beelzybub
Try shutting down MSI afterburner/Riva statistics and then start the game. Also try validating files twice through steam, them start.
SylenThunder
Don't forget to exclude the client from security software before you validate. You will want to exclude the saves folder as well. Edited June 4 by SylenThunder (see edit history)

Shutting down MSI afterburner/Riva seemed to solve the issue, probably should have trouble shot that before posting, but it completely slipped my mind. Thanks for pointing it out and for everyone's help.
SylenThunder
Yeah, MSI's overlay is pretty well-known to cause issues with games.
Brawlers39
This is the first time I have ever encountered it, but it makes sense as Riva is no longer getting updated due to MSI not paying the developer anymore. There are bound to be interference issues with games in the future too. All good though.
