Gun has no texture at all

I have started learning with Xyth's tutorial and I have followed every step. The pistol I added works, but has no texture at all. I am getting a pure white figure of a gun in the game.

 

Can someone tell me why this is and what to do about it?

I finally got this figured out. I got it to have a texture.

Never a bad idea to share what your fix was for others that may stumble across this thread.

 

One common issue people run into is naming their prefab they make the same as the fbx/obj/whatever file the model originated from. That causes Unity to export the plain fbx instead of your done up prefab and that can cause you to see a white, untextured model in game.
