Baron Von Chaos
My current system is: i7 6700K (OC'd to 2nd level) liquid cooled MSI 7170A M7 Gaming board 32gb RTX 2070 windows 10 No mater what i do, what setting i change i cant get over 15 fps no matter where I am. I have looked up everything to try and fix this. I tried the Heaven benchmark 4.0 for the GPU on max settings and it doesnt go below 50fps but usually 60+ but when i play a game FPS goes to crap. Anyone have any ideas what i should try? *edit* I should mention this was working about 8ish months ago perfectly fine with only 16gb ram Edited February 12 by Baron Von Chaos (see edit history)
Jugginator
It might be that aging CPU (... can you believe that was almost 20 years ago? Sheesh the time), but a log file may provide some reasoning why it's happening. Adding the game folder and save folder to antivirus exclusions can help (add the entire folders to exceptions). This game is heavily CPU-dependant, so Heaven wouldn't show very much, but still you should be getting better than 12-15 FPS so something may be off. Your resolution may be too high too, try it at 1080p. Also, this game really wants to be installed and have the save folder on an SSD, it will suffer on a HDD.
