Merging mods/adding mods

Hello. I'm currently playing a private game on a16.4, with Valmod Expansion, and we wanted to expand it a bit.

 

I've found some small mods that could be useful, lets say i want to add the: CCTV system

Any idea how to do that?

 

If it's impossible due to whatever reason, please, tell me how can i merge the Valmod with any other small mod.

In A17 we have modlets that allow easyer mixing of mods.

 

Mixing A16 Mods mean you need to identify the changes mods does.

Maybe adapt ID numbers

And then add these changes into one mod

 

Because valmod is large i guess we speak about a few dozend of hours of work.

And if i understand you right that you dont even know that A17 and A16 mods are incompatible i guess for you its more 100+ Hours

 

Sorry i really see no easy way there

I am not sure, but it looks as if the linked mod dont interact with the same files as Valmod does.

So the chance is good that you can simply install both in that case.

 

But i never used valmod, i only know some code if it from the forums, so i cant say it for sure.

 

"A few Specific mods" sounds more like what i wrote above, learn modding and have work for a few dozend hours up to a few hundret hours.

 

 

And be happy that A17 has Modlets, there the answer is a simple "Drag and drop your own collection together" (as long as you dont have too many mods and so different mods that change the same content in a different way)
