  1. Carrying around 11 tons of concrete, eating a meal in 1 second, cutting a tree into lumber in 3 seconds... none of that matters, but BY GAWD there better be hyper realistic aiming and loading animations in this game, OR ELSE. Some people just cannot let go. Happy with my zombie survival sandbox game. When's 2.0?
  2. Really, just a bit of practice makes water acquisition a non-issue. Plenty of murkies available as you mission and loot, plus pots are always available from a Roach Coach. You can also buy pots from the trader for 600 dukes. Day 1. But these are things you grasp the more you play. In any acquisition game, you must have an eye for it. If you're busy being frustrated that you don't have a bucket in game as you would in real life, you're going to die of thirst with water all around you.
  3. I've lived with and around guns for 60 years now. I carry every day. Qualified for several licenses but never shot competitively. I live iron sights. When I am on the range or just dry-aiming, iron sights all the way: it's a natural thing. In game? I use the reticle and it doesn't bother me a bit. I'm there for the game, not aiming realism. Just saying. No bullet drop, no wind consideration, and extremely limited gun range? I'm fully happy with the way it is.
  4. More wrecked vehicles! Burned out big rigs. Maybe some destroyed military vehicles, like a tank or a Bradley IFV, or other MPV. coughcough ART DEPT
  5. It is. Necessitating a Burnt Forest playthrough, of course.
  6. I have witnessed, and there has been quite a bit of discussion elsewhere about, a reduction in zombie spawning over time - both solo and public servers. Has A21.2 introduced a change in zombie spawning? While this apparent difference helps with the impression of "winning against the zombie tide," it does serve to reduce zombie #s substantially in an area over time. Of note, on public servers, building a screamer base can be counter-productive. Or even a nighttime Wasteland base. Even Traders - who usually have a mini-hoard around them, often have almost no zombies (1-2) spawning around them at night by Day 25. Has there been a FunPimps change of spawning and will it carry over into 1.0? While I very much enjoy the idea, it seems to negatively impact the experience of being able to find zombies to kill.
  7. Nothing has changed, really. Games made for 7 will still run. I griped like an old man at Steam over this issue and was told it wasn't in their control and games made for 7 or 8 would likely still run. The issue is the Steam platform uses Google framework and Google is blocking any further 7 or 8 usage. 7DTD would still run, assuredly. Now, to avoid more intrusive Microsoft versions, might have to look to Linux. From what I hear, 7DTD runs on Linux.
  8. Art suggestion future update? Road tiles look fairly intact. I saw a mod once that broke up the road tiles with occasional blocks of grass - as if the road had aged/deteriorated enough to allow grass up through cracks here and there. (The mod no longer exists - the mod author was Russian and Nexus freaked on Russians when the whole Ukraine thing splashed - taken down/forced down, dunno) Think old sections of Route 66.
  9. Nice #s, seeing as how almost every review for any game on Steam rants about how (game) "is no Baldur's Gate 3!" Apparently, BG3 is the utmost standard all games must attain - no matter the genre. I'll take my zombies any day.
  10. That's a given. I think this all has more to do with the console version update than caving to crybabies. Whatever it is labeled, there is more to come.
  11. Glad I didn't have a mouthful of coffee. "Microtransactions" for cosmetics are great; I fully support this. Store transactions for "keys" to unlock "bonus" chests found in the game, are cringe. Very cringe. Please don't go there. But it looks like the FunPimps are aiming to do it right. DLC content later, plus potential cosmetic transactions. Assuming the cosmetics are good, the company will get a ton of money from me. FunPimps: Will the old Alphas be maintained as choices in the Steam Library Beta tab? Would players have the option of loading up A17, or will this be removed with 1.0?
  12. POI: Emergency Base overrun. I know there are a couple of POIs similar, but I'm aiming more at the remains telling the story - as in some other POIs. Take a typical army base or emergency CDC-type base and portray a zombie attack against one side. Broken walls, dead bodies in a line to the fallback position, more dead bodes at the pos, then the central command post tent with one side of the tent destroyed and corpses everywhere. Majority loot: corpse piles. Interesting separate idea to go with it: tripod mounted machine guns (broken) at defensible points/towers that can be wrenched for mechanical/machine gun parts.
  13. Being this is set in the American southwest, how about a mine?
