  1. There are a few of us testing the current version which contains a few changes since the last update I did. However Pille is temporarily unavailable due to other commitments.

Teragon is a huge project to undertake and we need to be patient. As much as I want a fully working version right now, I'd rather it did what it needs to do than get something that doesn't work properly or has less features than even tfp rwg. It will happen..... just won't be tomorrow.

    Tallman Brad Gameplay,

Thanks a lot for your time investment and your much appreciated effort.

What you have done so far looks absolutely promising and i would love to see faster as later the final version of Teragon.

But take all the time you need to publish this beauty, best of luck to you :)

The thanks all belongs to Pille the developer of the software. I was just given a dev copy to test and do a preview on. He's an extremely talented guy and deserves all the praise. I must stress that in the next video. I guess I assumed viewers of this video had seen the first video. That’s my mistake. My apologies Benton.

  3. I haven't seen an option to restrict cities to certain biomes or even single biomes, sorry. The cities are blocky as they're made from 150,150 tiles. Curved roads in towns would be a thing for the fun pimps or if someone wanted to make their own tile set. It'd be great for water to work again. There's time.

  4. Hi yes development paused while Pille dealt with some other 'things' but has now resumed.

Coincidentally I spent this morning chatting and experimenting in Teragon with Pille and I'll be doing a video updating everyone on progress as soon as I can. Hopefully in the next couple of days. It's looking good but it's not close enough to being complete to be able to estimate a release date yet.

  5. And yet more map editing. This time I'm walking the viewer through setting up an editing workspace and changing brush settings. This is all with the view to starting to edit out heightmap. The video shows how to remove mountain borders, add rivers and even create a basic island.

  6. I'm pleased you got it working @paulj_3. It's a good time saver. I love that you don't have to mess with alpha layers on the roads and that the water map just updates itself.

Yes it's a shame about kinggen. I really liked that.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the videos. I pleased they've been helpful. There's more on the way. New one on working with layers in gimp and brush densities should be out in in just over 12 hours once I get a thumbnail thrown together. I hate doing thumbnails! Haha.

    All the best PJ.

How to make rivers ? i'm new to this

Coincidentally I'm just finishing editing a video on heightmap editing to follow on from the first two Maptoolz videos. That includes how to make rivers. Should be available to watch in 24 hours but the other two videos are essential viewing to learn the basics of the new mapediting system. Well the first one is. Link is a couple of comments above. Hope it helps.
