Discord link is on the first page here.

And I'd need the server log. ALWAYS test in single player first to make sure the mod works before even trying to connect to a server.

well khaine you successfully killed spartan and hsi entire crew in their last horde night altho they did cheese by hiding o nroofs so that is unacceptable when is the flying mechanical  zombie dragon coming :)

For me the most interesting gameplay would be to build a fully automatic zombie killing base and then on horde night I sit in front of the monitor armed with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy the show.

great job rip no the devs are gonna make us pay double as joe did the knuckle wrap which if you know TFP is not a good sign XD

I’m definitely not wrong about this. Zombies could dig since the very beginning of the game. At some point,  at around Alpha 12 or 13 they stopped them from digging until they could overhaul the pathing. That happened in A17 when zombies once again started digging.

it wasn’t a change because the devs felt nervous due to really whiney players. It was always in the game except for a brief hiatus. Zombies have been digging in more Alphas than they haven’t been digging.

The devs are creating their game. If they were as sensitive to community outcry as some like to believe then we most definitely would still have LBD....

kk did not actually know that ty for letting me know and also i think there is a couple things TFP could learn from the devs that make mods for 7days as some of these mod devs seem to be pretty damn genius

No such thing. Everything is dev directed and they make changes whether those changes are asked for or not.

I agree generally with you that people shouldn’t concern themselves with how others play, but AFK bases are definitely contrary to dev vision for this game. They want a game that requires player engagement. That’s why the title of the game isn’t “Idle 7 Days to Die”. Granted, players will find a way but they are going to make players work for it, for sure.

Also, you can still drive around on horde night....if you make an underground track.

Well...most of you who liked A16 would be happy but not necessarily most of the player base. Player numbers haven’t exactly dropped off since the demise of A16.4....😜

actually roland your wrong on the player directed changes in A16 a player could make an underground horde base and now we cant as the zombies seem to have gotten super smart as a few players whined and @%$#ed about people making underground bases

I don't think you know what this means. Don't misquote me or hyperbolize what I've said to bolster your position.

As to what you said about playing something else in the mean time, I just told you that I hadn't played in months. More accurately I haven't participated in a playthrough of any significant duration since I joined this community over a year ago. It's absurd that development time is spent on something like an HD zombie model, when minor bugs and aesthetic flaws persist for so long. No matter how much you may love the game, I am justified in my criticism of these decisions.

would you rather have a good quality update that takes a year or a meh update that takes 6 months unless you understand programming and coding  you really dont know what your talking about it is alot harder than you realize

You would need to raise your gamestage by 21, for SP meaning your level + daysalive would need to rise by 18. Given that you have two days if you play default bloodmoon every 7th day, you would have to level up 16 times without dying in those two days.

I hope I did not overlook something in these morning hours but even with some minor oversight it is quite a feat.

managed to hit gamestage 153 also havent died since i started and i think im close to lvl 100 if not lvl 100 already

A little spoilerish, but since you asked..:

Real quick glance at entitygroups.xml shows the first mention of a Demo in a group called "feralHordeStageGS153" .. if things aren't all whack, you'll just need to ramp that XP gain up. It's bound to be a little slower when dealing with the Insane bullet sponges, so getting to 153 takes a while.

I don't remember the exact math for group gamestage, but it wasn't a simple addition, added members had a diminished effect on the final score, so you should be close, but somewhat below demo levels..

As to why they give up at 2am, well, you've killed them all. Using plenty of traps? :)

so in theory im at game stage 132 atm in my game so i should get demos next BM correct also im on day 26 and default difficulty

I doubt anyone wants to put a shotgun slug through MY cranium...

it would be fun for us then we could take our frustrations out on the zombie TFP instead of on the forums and it gives good variety :)

I voted yes, because I like to see immediately what type of zombie I have in front of me. That allows a bit of tactical decision, who to target first, who needs less hits, who should not be underestimated in melee fights ...

i agree mega i feel the cheerleaders should have a bit more speed and agility kinda like the football players

Just some slight points of clarification:

A17 was when looting zombies was removed and the zombies continue to have names.

Arlene still roams the countryside of Navezgane-- even in the development builds of Alpha 20.

Finally, the use of a limited number of models is not an attempt at MMORPG style. It is purely a limitation of current technology.

I agree with you that it would be better if there was more variation among the different zombies so that the same enemies wouldn't become so repetitive. TFP agrees as well. But they have to strike a balance between performance and visuals. I know for a fact that they have explored options for greater variety and are doing what can be done while preserving the gameplay performance for the greatest number of people. I voted no on the poll because I don't prefer what we have even as a recognize that it may not be able to be changed.

a good idea for different zombies roland would be to maybe use your staff as models :)

I took a tier one dig quest in the blasted biome. I take those mainly for the seed recipes. I had just completed a 360° cut of the hole when all the sudden I found myself outside and above it. I looked down and I was standing on top of a bear. The bear couldn't find the way out of the hole but might have eventually dug out I suppose.  On the way out I had to fight a z, a dog, and a buzzard. it was more dangerous.

But the compensation for the dig quest was no different than any other. I think if I had recieved another recipe, two instead of one, that would have justified the risk.

i dont take any quests in the wasteland as its not worth the headache

@7daysexpert I can't believe you're able to get anything better than a slideshow with a GPU like that which realistically should not have ever existed at all because it was garbage before it even released. I think even some APUs of that generation (CPU with internal graphics) were better than that GT610. GT series cards just feel like a blatant scam in my opinion. New, they cost just as much as a used GTX card except 100x worse in performance, it makes no sense.

i know im suprised too tested it out took max settings to lag my game out XD

I stopped playing this game with a GTX 660 back when it was I think Alpha 12 or 13 back when the game only needed 2gb of vram, and even then, I could only run it at medium settings. I doubt it can run this game very well anymore on medium settings especially if your CPU is weak. But if your expectations are low and are ok with running the game on low - lowest settings, you might be ok with it. I've read about ppl claiming to run this game on much worse hardware than that.

well im running it on my potato pc on lowest specs

I have played two games already in this Alpha 19 (+100 days each) and I have been waiting a long time for an update to be able to enjoy the game again. I decided to see when the last major update was (note: for me the major updates are Alpha 18, Alpha 19, etc., not Alpha 18.2, Alpha 19.4, etc.), and to my surprise it has already been 10 months since the last major update (Alpha 19 was released on 06/25/2020).

When are they supposed to add a new major update? Because yes, Alphas 19.3, 19.4, etc., are necessary to correct bugs and adjust certain things, but they don't add more hours of play, at least not always (there are times that they have added new things, or in the case of this Alpha 19, a new toolbelt slot). This means that we have really been without new content for 10 months (and counting). And this, I am very sure, that many people cannot bear it. There will be people who have a lot of free time or simply don't get bored and reach day 7777 and have kingdoms all over the map, but a normal person doesn't do that because they get bored before.

According to Steam Charts (a page that shows the number of current players in a game, and they get the information directly from Steam) there are currently 25,858 players, and to give you an idea, since October 2019 there were always more than 27k players, This means that for more than a year and a half that the number of players hadn't dropped to the current number of players (25,858).

I'm not the typical crying person asking "when is this game going to get out of alpha omgg !!1!1!", I'm asking when are we going to have real new content that grants us new hours. Where is the giant zombie boss that they were going to add in the past? Where are the bandits who said centuries ago they were going to add? Do you know an approximate date of when an experimental phase of Alpha 20 will come out? In a month? 6 months? In another year?

I find it very sad that I can only play this game 1-2 times (maybe three, although I get bored before) each year (or even a year and a half depending on the Alpha) before getting bored just because updates take so long.

while im not a moderator buss i do understand the frustration but look at it this way would you rather have a year in between major updates and have good quality content or have 2 months in between major updates and have garbage that needs to b fixed god knows how many times. Personally i would prefer the latter
