  1. If you used a local save, you may find them under D:\7D2D\Saves?

OK so I think I found it.

    D:\7D2D\Saves\Undead Legacy\Undead Legacy Bigger Backpack\Random Gen\UndeadLegacy2018

I am just going to re-install windows. It's about time I did anyway. To back up this game, which directory level do I need to copy to a safe location?

    Thanks again!

  2. Have you installed .NET 4.7.2: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56116

Your saves should be here: %APPDATA%\7DaysToDie\Saves

    Ugh. That's empty. I don't know how I lost my game :(

Yes I have .NET 4.7.2 or later installed.

I thought I told 7D2D Mod Launcher to save games locally to the run directory or something?

I've since uninstalled the Launcher - would that have removed them?

  3. Hmm, that is odd. I've never had it not work for that type of issue. Can you open up your Run command ( Windows Key + R ) and paste this in:

    %tmp%/7d2dlauncher.txt

that will open up the launcher's log file. If you can copy and paste the contents into pastebin.com, and post me the link, I'd be happy to look over it.

    Here is the pastebin.com link:

    https://pastebin.com/JNsHL3Hj

Note that this was the last *successful* launch - I haven't had it launch since so this file may not give you meaningful information on the current issue.

    Thanks again man!

  4. Sorry for the trouble. It sounds like your OneClick Cache is corrupted.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/2713442/clickonce-application-fails-to-update

Sphereii - thanks for the response. I think OneClick has something to do with it, but clearing the cache did not fix the problem.. any idea what's next?

I also cannot find the installation and saved games for the game I was just playing this morning.

  5. Anywhere really. Fusion Cells are among rarest items in game, some traders might sell them, make sure to check their stock regularly. Titanium Armor recipes are in there among all the other recipe books, just much, much rarer ;)

Thanks Subquake. The only problem is that I am on day 53 and I have been cycling between 8-10 separate traders over the past 10+ 3-day restock cycles and still have not seen those schematics or the fusion cores.

I've killed 5000+ zombies at this point. How rare are these things?

  6. Where do we obtain fusion cells?

Also, I am on Day 37 now with Secret Stash 3/3 (have had for several trader refreshes) and have yet to see any titanium between the 2 traders I have found. Any thoughts?

  7. Advanced welder has a greater chance to be found from construction zombies, construction sites and areas, gas stations, garages etc :)

Thank you, found it. Was on a construction zombie in the Crack-A-Book tower.

    Now, what about fusion cells?

  8. Hi all. This is a great mod! I agree with some others that it's the best so far. Everything works flawlessly.

Can anyone comment or hint about the Advanced Arc Welder tool? I cannot seem to find one after the 25th day in game. Thanks in advance.

  9. Unless this mod changed something over Vanilla, the easiest way to get diamonds is on treasure hunts (maps).

Edit: Verified in XML files, Diamonds still drop in treasure chests. Appears the highest probability of diamonds is now a drop from the boss zombies though.

I haven't seen a treasure map drop since Jax last reduced the rate. It went from 1 map every 100 zombies to nothing, from my experience.

  10. Where can I find diamonds? I have very rarely found some from treasure chests, traders and aliens but I need about 50 of them for a diamond armor suit. I have mined 100's of blocks near the bedrock in both desert and wasteland but never found a single diamond by mining.

    Any suggestions?

I'd like to know this and also where to find the welding torch!

  11. Is it intended that after upgrading reinforced concrete to steel now won't downgrade to concrete?

In other words, in vanilla the total HP on a steel block is (3+6+12) 21K. I just destroyed a steel block and it vanished without downgrading to reinforced concrete after the 12k HPs?

    This was a 50 pillar.

  12. Clone this repository with git - https://github.com/JaxTeller718/MainVersion/ then move all files into game directory

    cd /tmp
    git clone https://github.com/JaxTeller718/MainVersion/ ravenhearst
    cd /tmp/ravenhearst
    mv $(ls -A) "$HOME/Steam/SteamApps/common/7 Days To Die/"

This will install mode into your main game.

You will have to turn down graphics, textures, LOD, etc to play this mod. And even then it will crash when you go into big cities.

I've got 100 hours into this mod now, haven't had a crash - is your crash comment referring to Ubuntu? I am running Windows 10 on 7700k with GTX 980 and 32 Gb RAM.

  13. Same here. Was cooking some soups and when I leveled from cooking 1 to 2, I was at Level 59 and jumped to level 96 and my points went from (46 - low 50s) to 886.

Now I have to keep track of my levels and points to keep my self on track of where I would be... :(

Do you know of a command or adjustment to set level and skill points?

  14. mmm there is no cooking 1/100 anymore, are you on an older version?

You're right. Cooking is 1/10 - but for some reason while cooking a Meat Stew, it advanced that skill from 1/10 to 2/10.

There is a glitch somewhere, I gained +33 levels and +770 skill points instantaneously somehow.

    This is on version 2.11.05.

  15. @Jax - possible significant bug!

Has anyone encountered the problem where the game will advance your level significantly?

I was playing along happily and reached level 67. I checked my skill point balance and had about 70 saved up. I was working toward level 80 to unlock a bunch of things.

I just checked again and I am now at level 100 with 842 skill points! Between checking at level 67 and checking just now, only about 15 minutes of gameplay elapsed. I don't know if it's coincidence, but in those 15 minutes was the first time I advanced "Electric Tools" from 1/100 to 2/100 with an Auger while mining and "Cooking" from 1/100 to 2/100 with a Meat Stew.

I guess what I will do is just make note of +33 levels and +770 skill points and subtract that to obtain my "real" level, unless someone else has a better fix?

  16. Are lockpicks intended to be single use? Odd that they have a quality rating if they all go poof after using.

    I have this same question.

Also, can I get a hint on the location of a welding torch? :)

  17. Can anyone comment on the most efficient use of meat/eggs for hunger/health/wellness around day 14 using the Bow class with no "elevated" access to recipes?

What I mean by that, what's the best use of my raw meat and eggs without such things as a stove, etc.? In vanilla, the obvious one is Meat Pie, but I can't even find how to unlock that one now and suspect it's buried way deep in some skill.

Oh and also I am trying to find desert for a) easy dirt and b) aloe. Any suggestions? The seed I'm using is "Ravenhearst".

  18. Same experience here. I died 3 times the 1st week from infection, and that's never been the cause of my untimely demise before. While I was silently cursing Jax' name, I also decided I wouldn't let his evil programming break me. So on day 8 I raided the hospital and got some bandages. No antibiotics to be found, but they slowly started to trickle in after that. As for sinda's suggestion to fight more ranged, I picked the blades class and have to get a little up close and personal to progress, unless throwing knives gets introduced to the mod. Anyway, it got better and now I'm loving every second of it. I noticed in the hide armor quest it takes 65 animal hides to make the full set and not 60.

I was beginning to think it was just me and poor RNG luck. The scarcity of antibiotics coupled with the ease of becoming infected has kinda broken the mod for me.

  19. I am on Day 5 in the mod and I am finding 2 things: its very easy to get infected and its very difficult to find cures. I've been living hand-to-mouth on the cures between a single herbal antibiotic, a single honey and a single antibiotic pill.

Is it intentional that curing agents in the mod are tough to find?

And it's not like I am not scavenging or killing, my scavenging is 39 and most of my levels have come from killing.
