I know Madmole said they would only do DirectX 12 if the performance gains were crazy. Vulkan, even if you don't use an AMD Gpu has crazy performance increases. lazerblade01 Posted July 12, 2016 Share Posted July 12, 2016 I know the Unreal Engine already supports Vulkan. I wasn't even sure what it was until a while back, maybe 6 months ago? I saw a folder on my C drive labelled Vulkan and I was like - what the hell is that? Then I looked it up, and it's about time DirectX has a competitor.
