bluewizard
I would love to see this kind of game play in the settings. A realistic version. (true to life) TTL Here what I mean! No horde night every 7th day. No running just at night. I'll explain. Instead of having a 7th day mass horde find you and attack you. Why make this more realistic. Have this setting instead, make it so theirs a random chance this happens every day not just at the one night. So say their a 20% (example) chances in a certain amount of time. with a cool down period in between attacks. This can happen any day or night. As for runners in this setting a single zombies would have a random chance to be a runner. If zombies are in a horde the chance of 1 or more zombies that becomes a runners becomes higher. (when spotting a human player) This would be my dream setting for & days to die. I think this is how zombie apocalypse would most likely look like and how zombies would really act like. this would be a great setting for more true to live version or game play of & 7 days to die. Please dev think about adding this setting. Everyone please comment tell what you think about this game play setting.
bluewizard
one idea to add the Random chance of a horde and cool down period doesnt have to be a set time. because if it was that predictable that would be lame. My idea have that to be a random time also. Example. if you get attack by a large horde rampage. that last 3 to 6 hours of game hours. the next attack would be random. The next attack could 6 game hours away or could be 7 game days away you could have many randomize multi different times. Of course there could be a new warning time or system maybe 2 game hours before it happens. or maybe not at all/ tell me what you think.
bluewizard
I have a new idea, for zombie type. We all know from the movies, their are slow walkers. Which came movies from 1950 to 1980. Then we got the talkers The brains, brain eaters 1980 to 2000. Then their was hordes and runners from 2000 and until now. Video game and two famous zombie Tv Series introduced Radioactive and toxic Chemical zombies. But we have forgotten the most scariest zombies of all. We forgot about the hive minded swam zombie. Example from the movie war war z. I think it would cool and scare to add this too, to realistic setting. Have it to be 1-100 chance in happening. This will have all zombies rush at once and use each other to pile up in one spot and climb up a wall like a ladder. This Idea is part of zombie lore now. Like all these zombie types are now. Just ideas please comment. Would you all like this type of setting.
bluewizard
Wait just incase people say i forgot famous zombie type, thinker zombie or smart zombies they lead other zombie or direct zombies to complete some kind of goal. Many movies have this type. Bonies almost a skeleton, kind mummified, no skin left. Only two movies ever that i know of ever show cased this type of zombie. Very fast by its self or as a horde type zombie. Last zombie type that everyone uses is a sleeper. They Sleeps standing up or sit down and they even find them laying down. 3 types of sleeps, active at night sleep in day. Active in day sleep at night. Or noise activation sleeper zombie that needs stimulation to get triggered. You can find them sitting or standing still doing nothing until a sound triggers it or them. You can get them big groups standing in one place even in the dark. Could you imagine. Trying sneak pass that. Just More zombie lore. Wanted to add the rest of the zombie types. here another idea have all these zombie types call it the Movie and TV game play setting.
Riamus
There is already an option in settings to have horde nights at different intervals and also to have that interval be random within X range. Zombies have a chance to run (rage) as well.
4sheetzngeegles
If you break it down to the individual components, then you just described the scout horde mechanic. and as Riamus posted the rage. So if you want to have all of this now just tie in the random time date to the scout horde. I don't think too many players would be too happy with heat generated scouts, and random scouts especially if RNG rolls and gives them one or more of each within the first few days. But it and the follow up responses would be interesting to say the least.
Banginurz
All great ideas! Also, almost all is readily available as already posted. I love when these things work out
bluewizard
so i look at what you described, yes you can set the horde night to 3 to 30 day on random. But this is horde night. night only. As for zombies the setting are walk, sprint, job, run and nightmare. This makes all zombies do this. If you want them to do random actions at night and the day. why not have walking zombies at night or runner in the day time. So if you read what i wrote in first two sections. This does really create the game play style i describe does it. you simple can't not create the setting i described with the current xbox options. But thanks the random night setting is helpful and it is a start.
Riamus
Rage mode (random running) applies to all zombies regardless of settings. The chance of it happening increases with the game difficulty level. I believe it is completely disabled if you are on the easiest difficulty. You are correct that horde night is only at night. That is unlikely to change, even as an option. And since you aren't on PC, you can't use a mod to change it. Maybe they will consider adding rage mode settings to the game settings.
bluewizard
Yes no rage mode, it seems PC has a lot of mods and setting that would almost make the game more like i described above. So sad Xbox doesn't have this. I think to, a lot what I put on my wish list setting would be to hard for the developers to do.
