Game stuttering - Issue solved, sharing the fix

I've been having issues with the game stuttering (as bad as three times within five seconds) and tried the below without any luck.

Rebooting my pc

lowering graphics

turning vsync off/on

turning dynamic mesh down

Rebooting my server

+ much more.

 

My wife wasn't having issues while playing with me on her computer.

 

The fix that worked for me is simple...

 

Uninstall and then reinstall the game.

 

Not sure why this happened. Seems something either became corrupt, or full.

Yeah, likely what happened is the file verification on steam doesn't always catch everything. Just a few weeks ago I knew something was up with my trunk install, verified it was all fine, did it again it was fine. I didn't believe it, so I did it a third time and it found 17 files. Reinstalling has a high chance of getting everything.
