betam4x
Tried to launch the game tonight, received a bizarre error about the game not running under Steam (The Steam client is not running or no connection possible). Shift tab does not open steam UI. EAC claims a steam file was corrupt (steamclient64.dll). I checked a SHA256 hash against this file and it is definitely not corrupt or modified (same on my win10 machine as my win11 machine). I'm running Windows 11 22000.194. EAC for other games does not throw this error, neither does any other anti-cheat. EDIT: Steam client build date is Oct 7th, SHA256 on both machines is 51b51ad9b8dc133d2fdcea25763e59808bee3f59517fb6836edd72d5c1844b71 It was working before the update, however it is now not working on either my win10 machine or win11 machine, so this appears to be an EAC issue. SylenThunder
Issue is with Steam's update breaking EAC integration for a large number of games. Start the client from the executable in the client folder 7DaysToDie_EAC.exe.
