More crops would be good. How about apple trees and pear trees? Tomatoes and beans should also be included. At some point in the game you should be able to avoid using cans. As a gardener in the game you should have the ability to build an extra shovel with which you can only harvest plants. I think you should also have to water the plants. Fertilizer would be a good idea to increase your chances of harvesting more. It's a survival game, i know.
