Mandogy Posted July 2, 2020 Share Posted July 2, 2020 I was just playing, randomly lost connection, came back, I didn't notice anything for a while, but I eventually realized I went from level 20 to level 1 and gamestage 1, no skills, all my markers were gone, but my position, inventory, map discovery, kills and deaths were still the same. You disconnected at the same time the server was writing your save game... there are backups labled .bak which the server admin can restore; however, the odds of the backup being corrupted too in this case are about the odds of me saying yes to pizza. Ask him to try to restore your backup for you. He just needs to delete your info and remove the .bak from the file names. Although, since you played on it, the game will have made a new backup for you, so it'll be gone as well if it was even good, he'll have to have backups of backups.
