Help resetting Trader

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi, i got the same Issue. I could also prove it with a picture. What you could do is hard reset the region:

"C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\ Save s\Old Famoha Valley\GoreVortex\Region"

Old Famoha Valley is the "secret name" while GoreVortex is the public name.

0. Make sure you got the right location for you save!

1. Backup all region data and delete them(or backup the entire save).

2. Start 7dtd and the game will create the missing region a new with a new trader. Make sure your character is in the same region and check if the trader is there.

3. If so exit and copy all the backup region files back into region do not overwrite the new region file where you trader is "working"! (replace file? → no "skip")

Note: Also if you hard reset a chunk/ region you will lose any changes done to it, container looted, blocks build / placed and inventory placed (most things will be alright if step 3 doesn't override or is in the same region as the trader.)

if you happen to already have a backup you can try to load the region file where the trader is. If you only want to load the trader specific chunk you can do so with step two and compare the region name with the one you backuped before.

(chunk = region)
