  1. I dont like like microtransactions. All this 1-2€ stuff wich has never a end.

    Add a new faction with 6 complete new outfits, 2 new vehicles, additional questline, a bossfight, some building decors, some new materials, anything... and make it 22€.

     

    That was my first thought how a nice worthy addon couldt look like. Important is to call it ADDON and not a micro, hat, cosmetic, ingameshop, p2w, lootchest, playercardpack, anything. I loved addons always. This has some quality in its name.

     

  2. I duped my sledgeturret. Its was 4 blocks high at the door of a simple hordebase. It always was on the ground when i come there, i always put it back up until i was sick of it and keep it in inventory. Then suddenly there was later another one on the ground. -->insert x-files music here<--

  3. I dont it done. When you upload a map should it works instantly? Generating a world couldt take hours sometimes on servers, even generating a new on on server doesnt work actually for me.

     

    I took the data from the roaming saves folder and the generated worlds folder into the server. Choosed the right gamename and Gameworld. I get into loadingscreen but stuck at "Einstellungen erhalten und laden" in german, loading and gathering settings should it be in english. There is no feedback at this point. I was afk for 6 hours and waited. Last time i tryed to let the server generate a 8k map i tryed it next day and still the same result. Server dont ask for password even there should be one.

  4. The truth is i dont really care what i am clothing actually. I just wear what i find and thats mostly good. Also i dont care about design until the boring midgamehole when you wanna do anything else between.

     

    The characterscreen is to hidden and uncomfortable to reach. Also dealing with mods on cloth is tedious. You have to put it off, click it in inventory...

    I dont really feel the effect of damaged clothes. I dont even know how to repair it after 1700 hours playtime, repairkit?

     

    I would like a better HUD for this. It must be more visible and more often just there. Next to the inventory maybe. Or make a little special HUD at the hunger/thirst bars with a little dummy where you can see your actual arm, leg, torso, head,... status.

     

    tl;dr: Actually it feels like not existant until in mid- to lategame when i dress the men in black suit or check it once to get any complete outfit.

  5. What is a honest defense without any abuse? A 4side concrete cube with arrowslits? Even the mechanic to lead all of them to 1 side of your base only feels cheese.

    There are so much different ways to abuse mechanics its allready a varying gameplay aspect to choose wich exploit you wanna use.

     

    -building underground removes every zombieattack but not hordenights and reduces your attacksurface to a minimum

    -lead them all to a specific point where you want them

    -fall bridges let them run endless circles

    -use electric versions of fall bridges, it opens when they step on it

    -1 bladetrap, 4-5 fencewire combos and 10 Darttraps are enough to hold nearly afk max gamestage hordes (standard difficulty)

    -zombies dont attack walls because they see no pathblocking obstacles in it

    -ladder towers stacking fall dmg over and over again

    -gather them in holes and blow them up

    -catch the first wave and no more waves will spawn until dawn

    -wizard tower with a riddiculous pathway they have to follow just to get punched down at the top and start again

    -gather them all behind a open hatchdoor and just mellee forever without problems

    -classic kill corridors, all lined up for headshots

    -sit on a bike in your base at hordenight and only vultures spawn and 4 bladtraps around a hatch is enough to defend the roof

     

    Yes i feel forced to use any of this mechanics because any "honest" straight defense i can imagine will not work or i will for sure not maintain it.

    So it doesnt matter in wich way any player abuse the game, its PvE and doesnt effect my gameplay. Since zombies are "intelligent" the game changed to a only abuse of this.

    Undergroundbases are still good and way easier to maintain than overground. The pimps also did not cancel them like noobs, they added a new mechanic to the game. Digging down. Its like the new mechanic to make them crawl under 1 block space now, thats awsome! New mechanics!

     

    A solution for this would be to make just 30% of the horde spawn dumb like before. Just attacking everything in their way and dont care about any path. Oh god the whine will be endless when all hordebases dont work anymore. But who wants to defend hectically 360° around? Thats not fun. Repairing is not fun.

     

    Are there really players out there sitting in their cube and defend all sides of their base manually?

  6. Whats the difference in turning horde night off and building a booby bridge? Its kinda the same. The game is PvE, when anyone wanna abuse a mechanic just let him do it. It doesnt effect my gameexperience.

     

    My critic is: You have to use any abuse mechanic actually beause simple facetanking hordenights doesnt feel right. Even facetanking is just a clusterfck of zeds behind a open hatch and mellee them for ages. Nearly every concept of a horde base is a "abuse" in any way. On the other side how should a honest defense look like? It all depends on leading zeds to the same spot and crunch them there.

    Since zombies have "intelligence" they are dumber than before.

    Since 2 alphas i build kinda this entrance:

     

    but even this pretty honest facetanking base feels like a abuse of mechanic because i know 100% i lead all of them into my chopper area.

    It looks like a honest facetanking defense bunker, very classic but the only reason it works is the abuse of a mechanic.

     

    Everything is a abuse of a mechanic.

  7. Its absolutely about hordes!

     

    1- Do a coop private server, dont join any community server (even when they are awesome, no offense) they steal most of your spawns. Empty cities are usual there.

    2- do the easy modlet zombiesx4, x8, x16 like you want.

    3- turn up max zombies alive (our 4€ cheap server started lag at around 250 zombies infront of base) turn up horde night spawns.

    4- increase your ammo production buy xml or your only gameplay beside shooting zombies will be farming ammo. I doubled the outcome of every ammorecipe, increased amount of blackpowder in loot greatly.

    And while you are working on shape UI: Its absolute horrible to hold down a button to open a menu! Its a cramp to change blockshapes actually and you cant leave the shapemenu wit Esc. Doesnt feel fluid. There must be a better solution.

  9. loooong time ago any dev announced a stamp system for biomes but i havnt hearded anything about it anymore. He say this system can spawn prebuild things into any biomes like a nice looking little stonearch in the desert or lakes in the forest. Technically a cosmetic poi spawning system into wilderness.

    I think there was a screenshot of a stonearch in the desert too.

     

    Is this still on the plan? This sounds to awesome to have little sweet designed poi everywhere in the wilderness.

    I imagine a oasis in the desert, ancient stonecircles in the forest, gigantic prebuild canyon fit into landscape and also very small destroyed wood cabins in the outback, ..

     

    I think this was years ago talked about and i cant find it anymore. You know what i talk about?

  10. Are you planning crafting out of the box? Its pretty annoying and feels like outdated by ages to get all the stuff needed to craft from the storage in your inventory, bring it to the workbench and then sort it back. Can you give any crafting a 15-20 block radius searching fo the needed materials in all chests?

    Subnautica and Valheim has this by mod and its absolutely awesome, its a gigantic quality of life feature.

     

    There are so many different little items to think about taking with you. Repairing would be way easier then too, just bring your tool, nailgun and the ressources are anyway anywhere in your base.

     

    As a alternative in Conan the workbenches have storages integrated where you have to put all the stuff in. This solution is also better than manually carry it around.

     

    Ever thought about that?

     

    edit: Is this technical to do for modders or a big issue to code this in?

    I remember old times in early minecraft versions. The time between patches was around the same like in 7days. Anytime Mojang says half of the team now works on other titles. Awesome ones like "Scrolls", a no one cares game, instead of working on their maingame.

    Dont complain when a company invest into the future but the concept of early acces is to directly support the game in development and not any other projects.

    The pics above is what i am talking about. Bonus between 20 and 50%, you cant ignore that. Sure it doesnt force me to use ingamefeatures at all, i can skip whatever i want, there is even a option to play without zombies.

    Just dont make a best in slot gameplay like many other games have and dont make players all wear the same sets. Its a small gap between so balanced its not even worth to change cloth and forcing switch outfit all the time.

    Thats a big game decision, in nearly every game with setboni, this boni are the meta.

  13. The full set buffs seem to be planned as very strong.

     

    I see very bad things upcoming.

    Every single player you will see in this game out of their base will wear the same fight and loot set. Optional sometimes when you are forced to, a radiation suit. Never see a other clothestyle again.

    Mining will need the minerset, crafting the crafterset and so on.

     

    Why should i wear anything else than the fight and loot set out there? I think this is in theory allready worse than classic leather weak but fast, iron strong but slow system.

    Forced changing outfits sounds very horrorfull for me. The complete concept they have shown sounds horrible at all, its a best in slot mechanic.

    No more diversity, everyone has always any clothset on their body, sounds awfull.

  14. Sadly on populated servers you have to go as far away as possible as soon as possible to evade any multiplayer contact. We play this game on own servers only meanwhile because in the end all multiplayerfeatures are looted and destroyed poi, less zombies, lags and from time to time some random meetings and allchat.

    All in all playing on high populated publics causes more problems than benefits.

    Thats why, go as far away as soon as possible or the final and worthy loot will be always gone.

  16. I dont like the class system. Make the skills separate and free from strength, int and agi trees.

    For any "normal" player with 50-60 hours playtime in a playtrough 1x xp is riddicioulus. We always play on 2x xp or 2skillpoints per level.

    It always ends up that i dont even touched the agi and stealth part. There is some stuff you have to skill 100%. Crafting, vehicles, ressources, tool efficiency, stamina,... when you got this you are 20-30 hours ingame and there is game allready over for many ppl.

     

    At all: Its not really rewarding, not enjoyable. Its a ugly thought to skill funskills instead of practical stuff. Its gametime and lifetime when you hit that stone and ores for hours.

  17. Maybe you guys know Empyrion. They just released the game, meanwhile v1.4x. Its such a joke, the game has content like a techdemo!

    Staying in alpha is absolute ok, easy excuse for bugs and stuff. When you release you play by other rules.

     

    btw, in comparsion out there on Steam 7days is allready better than many full versions. They couldt everytime if they want, no need to shame for anything after it.

    Its very very sympatic from the pimps, it seems they have higher demands to their game as the actual state.

    Do you have any plans on a zombie randomizer? There was a mod some time ago for this.

    You allready mentioned a clothsystem to give them random clothing and attachments but allready in this state of the game you couldt randomize walk- and attackanimations and probaly put some tinted or slightly modified version of every zed to the randompool.

     

    Have you ever seen the fat police zombie with the spiderzombie runanimation? It looks awesome, like a fat gorilla running torwards you! Had this some alphas ago on my server selfmade. Normal walk animation but when triggered he runs like a gorilla.

     

    Do you have something like that on the plan?
