Well with brawling and that one brawling book...I do charge and punch zombies for more "knockback" but it sure seems to pop a lot of heads when I run into them like that...dont know if its the perk from that book or not!

    The Humungus' buff

  2. It could be cool too if the items like action figures, etc  could be placed like decorations.

Also i found another console error at opening a working stiiff, now you're stiff box or something like that

  3. Hi @doughphunghus I had installed your YouveGotMail mod and i enjoying it so far, it gives variety and a touch of fun to loot.

I looted a tic-tac-toe game and when i tried to place it in a wall the console pop-up with a red line that said something about lootcontainer doesn't found or similar. Is because i'm playing alone or is a known bug?

And there is one thing that i can't figure it out, the cardboard box...i can't find the recipies, are there only lootables?

Anyway fun mod. I lol a lot of times in only a day playing with it.

Any pole health reduction should be balanced with a reduced zed damage buf, but I actually forgot that code was even in there until I saw in forum discussion. Things are a bit hectic around here with a lot of back and forth on a variety of bugs and balance issues.

Leave them as is and you have one problem less 😄

    They look so happy together

Already changed that today. Upgrade, repair and harvesting all scale.

We are still testing and thinking about these changes like many parts of the game. I'm currently leaning towards two buckets. 25% (or 33%) and 100%. The 25 being the obviously flimsy/weak/small blocks that should not be stopping anything from breaking through and anyone should be able to look at and say that is not going to protect me.

Bars were intentionally excluded because they are primary window and elevated defenses. Plates would probably move back into the 100%, but we are still discussing. Changing stuff to see what happens is what game development is about and some major changes can and do happen during experimental.

If the cost is proportional things begin to make more sense.

Once the plates are safe what about the poles.....can we put them in the same plate's boat?

And if not, have you considered  removing the damage penalty?

Seconded, my friend and I notice our frames drop from normal 60-80 fps elsewhere to 15-30 in certain parts of the wasteland city we live in, especially bad with lots of zombie activity, changing graphics settings doesn't appear to make a difference. In recollection I do think the areas of city where it is especially bad are indeed where the new city block areas. The worst area so far has been around the dishong and higashi skyscrapers (they are across the street from each other). I know some folks have report issues with Dishong in particular, so I thought that might be the cause. Also we liked the game we were playing and did not wipe and restart after the first update patch, so I thought maybe some changes were causing frame drops in maps generated in the initial a20 version.

At least is not only me....

I don't know about the map. Erasing the region files doesn't help.

Otherwise my experience is exactly the same as yours. Always the new zones and worst when there is enemies around

In every case I've looked at, lowering settings will increase FPS regardless of what your peak FPS is. Be it 60 to 120 or 10 going up to 20. It sounds like your CPU is running very slow. Have you rebooted? What other programs are you running? Disk getting hammered by some OS update, backup running or a virus?

No more programs running, updates or unusual activities.

The problem is only in the new clusters. Going only a few meters down the same street and getting out of the city zone all come back to normal.

In every other place the changes produces a variation in fps, not too much but newsworthy (shadows distance over all) but in the new cities there's no way to go above 30 when is calm and go down to 10-15 when there is some zombie action.

In the border of the city cluster is normal between 40-50

Same settings, only difference is the place.

There are zero negative consequences to a downvote. Reputation can only be gained or stay where it's at. None of the reactions carry a negative reputation penalty. A like, thanks, and Prime Bless You all give positive reputation and the rest are neutral.

Those who abuse the system lose credibility with it. Does a Kuosimodo dislike really carry any weight with anyone? joshwa0816 is headed the same way.

Are you telling me that I will never have my cookies either......

    what a scam

  9. All the reflection off, shadows and grass distance to minimum, new mesh off, object quality lowest, terrain lowest, antialiasing off.

    Nothing had any effect.

In the new clusters the performance for me is always bellow 30.

And even worst when there are zombies around.

Even inside a building, in a empty room, looking at the floor with no zombies around doesn't do better than 30-35.

And the different qualities doesn't make any difference besides ultra (that choke my system).

Junk turret and sledge are also *extremely* bad about falling through floors in A20.

    I can confirm.

Last blood night the sledge that was by my side falls to the ground behind my base.

He had a heated discussion  with a Hawaiian's shirt guy  that was hitting the ramp

People can play how they want, all the more power to them, but imo the only types of "cheese bases", by loose definition, are AFKable horde bases where you and potentially your base as well are at a 0% threat level. Plus there is a line. Trenches don't need to be "fixed", but the arrow slit force field bug? Probably. 😛

Man this was hilarious when i saw it in a Jawoodle video. Still working?

  12. Well, before the pole drama hit me hard today i enter the forum with the intention of asking @faatall about the performance in A20.

In A19 i saw a great improvement in performance, always between 40-50 fps but in this alpha I'm between 30-40 again and when I am in any of the new "city cluster" the fps drops bellow 30, hitting sometimes 10-15, making playing very difficult.

I drop down the textures to medium, reflections to off, disable the music (i read this could help) and turning off the new long distance feature but.....the situation in the cities persists.

I have an AMD A-10 7860k, a Radeon rx 580 8GB and 24GB RAM. I know is modest but i want to know if there is anything i can do to improves the fps at least to 30 to enjoy the new cities.

  13. I don't know what kind of melee base do you use but if you put a pole or a hatch between you and the zombos they didn't run in place or swing in the air, they come right in front of you and hit the pole or hatch. With the added disadvantage that when they hit a pole they do 6xdamaged. If you get away a moment or fail to repair in time you are @%$#ed in seconds.

You can say a lot of things about AI but if you give them a clear path to you you can be sure they will follow it

  14. Exactly.

In a run time ago, bored and full of gear in day 100 and a lot, i did an AFK base (traps, turrets, electric fences, you know all the pasive stuff) and was so proud that i didn't need to shout or kill a single zombie. Not a thing for everyday, at that point is more fun to get ground level and confront them face to face but was very interesting and gratifying.

  15. Yeah, All is cheese 🤣. I always ask myself what kind of defense or strategy they use that is not cheesy. Maybe let the zombies kill you....

I don't know man but a tactic is a intelligent solution to a problem and and cheese is cheating, in my book they are different but who knows, in this days the words have no meaning any more

  16. Ok, but if we accept this "definition" every base is a cheesy base.

I prefer to use the words by their exact definition. A cheesy base must use an exploit Or bug in the game to be called that way.

Every structure that use the tools that the game itself gives you is a legit option. A corridor, a pit, a solid block structure of zillions of layers, all of then are legit and is the player who must choose what he enjoy more.

Anyway I'm with you, the AI in horde night need to be refined. I read a lot of  threads about it with multiple solutions but i must confess that i can't give one that solves every aspect.

Melee cheese? It is supposed to stop zombies while still allowing one to melee them, particularly spiders and dogs. The shape seems entirely appropriate for it, so what is the cheese? Cheese is dogs and spiders attacking _through_ a hatch and hitting you, without you being able to hit them back.

Cheese is when zombies cannot reach you. That base brings zombies directly to you. It needs to be repaired or the zombies will break through. It is the opposite of cheeseAnd so is every base that is affected by this change. This change only affects bases where zombies where zombies can path to you. Actual cheese bases rely on having the zombies never hit a single block.

Kage's base doesn't look efficient because it's not an OP AF cheese base. It's funny that you first dismiss his base as cheese, then you say it's not efficient and explains how he can cheese it.

It had to be said and it was said.

I hope that never again a direct confrontation melee base design will be called cheesy
