1. It could be cool too if the items like action figures, etc  could be placed like decorations.

Also i found another console error at opening a working stiiff, now you're stiff box or something like that

  2. Hi @doughphunghus I had installed your YouveGotMail mod and i enjoying it so far, it gives variety and a touch of fun to loot.

I looted a tic-tac-toe game and when i tried to place it in a wall the console pop-up with a red line that said something about lootcontainer doesn't found or similar. Is because i'm playing alone or is a known bug?

And there is one thing that i can't figure it out, the cardboard box...i can't find the recipies, are there only lootables?

Anyway fun mod. I lol a lot of times in only a day playing with it.

  3. I was reading you guys and thinking....

The idea of more "intelligent" zombies in daily game make sense, this will make more difficult to avoid them. Maybe the new sense will improve this.

But for BM I'm not sure if more "stupid" zombies will improved the challenge.

What do you think about more "structural intelligent" zombies for BM?

Some sort of dual behaviour, some of them will chase the player but others will attack the structures behind and around him.

Something similar to actual rage mode but more precise that search the effective collapse of the defense build.

I have no wrong textures and also no crashes. I assume it is because I have an RX580. That GPU series is just the right age. Not too young to still have bugs in the GPU drivers and not too old for this game.

That is my card too, paired with a a-10.

I tested again and i got pink texture again. Googling a bit found some post about similar problem in another games and they recommend erasing the mesa shader cache and some radv files in .cache and is seems to be working. At least the textures are normal. No time to play long to test crash.

Seems that the textures cached with proton doesn't mix well running in native? that makes any sense? No idea

I just feel like the native version should always perform better when you have the recommended hardware. This is not unlike most games I've looked at on Proton. It seems like the wine version always runs better and yeah it probably is vulkan.

I appreciate your input though, I'm gonna go ahead and install 7dtd on my mint cinnamon and have it ready for update so I can test a little when alpha 20 releases. I do use a Nvidia Gpu, and a Razer mouse(no Hotkey software) so I'm still convinced on just using native windows for gaming for now 😕

I am inclined to think is vulkan too. the native version have more fps selecting vulkan render. Unfortunately sometimes i get texture errors (pink sky or ground) and random crashes using it.

Did you test the native version with vulkan as well? I don't know the state of Nvidias vulkan support, but I play with vulkan on Linux with an AMD card and while I can't say anything about the relative performance I can say that vulkan can be used natively too, you don't necessarily need wine for that.

Don't you have wrong textures and crashes with a19?

I used to run it that way in a18 but with a19 is very inconsistent. Sometime seems to going well and crash without apparent reaseon and others times load with the sky or the ground pink or all the screen black and only the UI element render

  6. Steam desk is arch based so the native version must run. Same to windows version through proton because runs out the box. And if anticheat works it will open the field even more. What I don't know is if the hardware can handle it, but if my ancient a-10 can I suppose it will

Looks very cool in general, will see what comes out. If valve honor what promise I'll be in line for one.

That's quite interesting considering AMD GPU's are what's recommended for linux gaming due to the driver compatibility.

And i agree with this, I have had NVIDIAs cards and they was a PIA in linux. Maybe I don't express myself well; the native linux build doesn't perform bad but the windows version through proton/wine performs better. Maybe because proton use vulkan....?

Anyway both works better than the windows version in windows 7 in the same machine and not by a little...In windows is between 20-40 and in linux is between 35-50 with almost 60 inside mines, rooms, etc and more stable. In windows the yellow fps is common and in linux is rare (only sometimes in  BM)

Does anyone else having issues with all types of forge not working? There are no inputs to them in A19.1 with mod version 3.1.

Using the 7D2D Mod Launcher to install game files, tried direct copy from my steam install, tried redownloading it all from scratch, tried installing it from scratch redownloading via Mod Launcher. Tried different class combinations in creative mode to force character into level 10 with tool crafting and forge ahead perk.

None of these worked. IF someone has a fix or a workaround please lemme know!

In this new version is not necessary smelts the materials.

The forges now works like campfires, You must have the ingredients in your inventory, select the product and it goes to the output slots when is finished

That was cos of the titanium typo. I posted  a fix for that a page or two back, but here's the link just in case.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EVKwULkuotI8sO6-DfzDWRYPZBOxS3Qc/view?usp=sharing

    Goes in Data/Config.

I already had the new blocks.xml but I download the file you linked to be sure.

I spawn some bunker lockers and only give me iron

I looked into the file and found a typo.

In some instances DFscrapTitanium is DFDFscrapTitanium.

When changed this the sci-fi lockers and crates gives titanium when hardvested.

  10. A few little bugs:

When you wear a hazard jacket when you already had another jacket makes the jacket disappear, at least with college jacket.

When you place the animal trap over a flagstone block the trap disappear. not sure about other kind of blocks.

The iron and steel sledge hammer recipes doesn't unlock the perk and you need to spend two point to make a titanium sledge.

Thank you for telling me that!

I have tried and still doesn't work! Going to contemplate a new start...

In my saves was a bit tricky to find the position to place the new block in the "invisible" place but flying around from beneath the map gives good results.

I don't know how to explain it but you have to stay in a position outside your hole floating in the map.

    Somethibg like this

Give it another try, you can always start a new game later

I'll be totally honest, I've never used the debug mode. I always play my games as the developer intended... how do i do this?

Yep, 3.01 Khaine! Best get your scrap iron shovel out :(

Press f1 to bring up the console.

    Type dm and press enter.

    Close console and press esc.

In the right menu select fly and no colission.

Back to game you can fly  with space to get up and c to get down.

Fly beneath the block and put the dirt block.

when you're done uncheck the fly and no collision open the console and type dm again and you will be in normal mode again.

Unless I move my base I cant build blocks in some places. It's like theres an invisible block in the way. The game physically wont let me place them. I was really enjoying the game up to now but cant play it like this. Does anyone have a solution other than accepting the bug and moving the base?

Using the debug mode and flying beneath the "invisible" block you can put a dirt block. When you destroy the dirt everything comes back to normal.

  14. Hi KhaineGB.

Mining in the wasteland I found a great hole underground full of titanium boulders, like the one in the surface.

Curious I enter in dm and flying under the surface i noticed that there are a lot of formations like this.

    COMocrs.thumb.jpg.9035b4f91db2c80b7aac6474d6f2607a.jpg

The first time I saw them the console gives a lot of red lines of errors.

This time I was replaced the blocks file with the last you upload to your discord and the error was gone in the console but the strange formations are still there, (I delete the chunk file to test it, the mine was right there)

  15.

Thank you! I think I'll end up pursuing the ubuntu route, since I already have a side boot of that going, and wine ... argh. I've gotten things to work via it, but it's always a project and a half... :) For completeness though, that's a windows version of the game as well then?

The memory will be an issue, I have 16G in atm.. I might throw in a couple older sticks to see how terrible the perf is with CL9 stuff.. not necessarily worth it in the long run, but I got free slots, so, might be time to invest anyway (RTX 2060 - level stuffs otherwise, just never ran into actual memory issues until now.. :) )

    But yeah, thanks :)

    Yes, is the windows version.

About ubuntu vs mint...in theory you don't must have problems using the ubuntu repositories in mint. At the end mint is ubuntu based distro, only thing is you must used the repositories of the version of ubuntu that your mint is based. In fact in the wine page you can see that the instruction for mint 19.x are the same for ubuntu 18.04

Ubuntu 18.04

    		Linux Mint 19.x
sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ bionic main'

.

The mesa ppa allways gives support for mint and talk about specific ways to mint in the instructions

to Mint users (info provided by Tomasz Molin)

If you're on Linux Mint and you want to ppa-purge, you need to specify the corresponding Ubuntu version of your version of Mint.

For example, Linux Mint 18 is xenial xerus.

    So, the command would be:

    sudo ppa-purge -d xenial ppa:paulo-miguel-dias/mesa

The dxvk is independent of linux versions, is *only* a replace for some wine dlls

About the ram notes that is with the large DF map, with the medium or small the memory is not that high and your 16 GB should be enough. I use the large because there was a problem in medium with distant terrain when I started my game but this is solved now according the change log.
