  1. My "Nomatic" phase of testing was in late A17. I put the following rules in place for myself then and plan to try the same soon with A18 1) No staying in one location / Building for more than 7 days. 2) BM Set to every 7 days allowing for prep defenses as best as time allowed. 3) Moving on from the Base, I only took what I could carry and NOTHING placed such as Forge, Work station, Crates, (I could take what was IN the crates but not the crates themselves) furniture, ect… 4) Any new building could be used as a new base but had to be at least 1 Km from old base and NO return trips for additional supplies from ANY old bases. 5) 7 Bases had to be used before a return to the "First" base could be returned to for repairs in prep for Night 49 Horde. 6) Repairs could NOT be made to base or defenses once BM ended or 4am (which ever came first). This meant I did my best to protect the base and defenses so repair time upon return in 6 weeks would leave me time to upgrade for stronger Hordes. I found this a tough and challenging version as I had to pick locations that could serve as defensive bases that could be quickly repaired and made ready plus manage my resources (food/water/Ammo/ Meds)
  2. I would really love a chance for "learning a schematic" after scrapping an Item. If I scrap a Pistol/machine gun/ crossbow into parts, then I should have a chance to learn how it's assembled and gain the ability to build one. Taking things apart is generally the easiest ways to learn how they are built. Yes I know this borders on the "Learn by doing" but even a 1 in 5 chance would be nice for those difficult to find plans.
  3. I wanted to get plenty of Game time in before giving any feedback so I waited until now. I think you guys are well on your way to a success. The addition of the "Books" means even if you reload a map you have played before, it will always be a different game. New Books = New Skills = new Abilities= New Playstyles (at least for some). I really like this addition. The return of the "Above ground" minerals we saw back in A16 is a sign that what was once tested and worked, is used in the future. Not too crazy about the reversal of the "Food" system where the canned food is now the basis for survival and "Created food" is something players now eat only in their bases to top up before heading out. I can see the idea behind boiled water being "slightly" dangerous as boiling kills bacteria but doesn't remove chemical contaminants, but some crafted food should be totally safe to eat as well. I am sure a balance will be found. Absolutely LOVE the new icons and POI changes. Great look. Construction took me a bit of getting used to but another great improvement imho. Too many Screamers spawning with near zero "Heat" Love for a way to RanGen a map without getting 70% Desert and/or Wasteland and 10% Snow 10 Burnt and 10 Forest. It would be really nice to be able to input the % desired before creation. (I know there are mods out there that can do that but I am talking about the base game) I believe that I have purchased games in the past that were not this fleshed out as "Released Material" and you are still in Alpha Stage. All in all, I am VERY PLEASED and can't wait for what comes next. Thanks.

  9. I am sorry if these items/ideas were already suggested in the previous 10 pages. I scanned them and didn't see them so here goes: 1- Construction Materials - Sandbags - Craftable with sand and cloth and a high probability of finding at army camps. 2- Weapons - Flare gun - Ammo crafted with Cloth make a Parachute flare lighting areas at night for a short duration. Also can light zombies on fire. 3- Defensive weapons - Heavy Machine Gun turret - Crafted with 2 AK-47s - Eats ammo like the SMG turret but puts out twin 7.62 destruction. 4- Resources - Fruit Trees- Harvestable Fruit from trees that remain for several harvests before dying and needing to be cut down and replaced.
