  1. While we got arror's shortly.

    When you scrap titanium arrowheads you get scrap metal.

    Shouldn't it give titanium.

     

    And there is a recipt at the adv. forge that smelt titanium into titanium. Any sense ?

     

    About Anna sending you to the Research Lab.

    Can't you maybe add another requirement like level or having a special perk, before Anna give you that quest ?

    She could say "You need to advance more before i can give you that task"

    Or at last give a warning about the difficult ?

    Because when you just enter the lab with simple protektive suit, it is nearly impossible to survive there (solo), you would need power armor or titanium with radiation mods.

    playing again since 19.2

    and just saw these scary mutated spider. First i though what octupus are crawling at the land/roof (saw it first at the school endroom roof).

    Playing on the DF-VSmall noCP map.

    I notice alot of backpack at the ice biome, they sprout like mushroom at some area's. No interaction possible, 1000 HP and don't drop anything if you destroy them.

     

    Just doing missions for a scout, got faction 13 and could get anther trader route 1 from him.

    But the bug is, i could accept the mission mulitple (maybe infinity) times all to the same trader.

    Edit: ok notice now it is the quest to Razor.

     

    Followup quest from Razor to get some supplies, you don't have a marker back to the trader (Razor) once you pickup the supplies.

    Edit: ok, notice at the follow up of these, you can turnin at any trader, thats why you don't get a marker.

     

    I play at german this time, and notice the pocket mod's use the translation for pocket mod for armor, but they can only be installed on clothings.

    I found these extra german translation modlet, maybe these change it, need to restart first.

     

    I got mission to pickup stuff from the DF Research Lab.

    I don't think this should happen, that POI should be excluded from the possible mission list.

    Or maybe you add them, so people can loot multiple times that research lab ?

     

    Don't you think the bladed weapon got a too high attack's/min ?

    Currently i think they are way to fast. Faster then knuckel at the vanilla game.

    I add the NiCd battery as mod and can stun a whole horde with it.

    And then the Laser sword is so slow compared to the machete.

     

    What do you think to add another challenge "Science strike back" where scientist and the protective suit guy's appear ?

    You geting such quests mosttimes when you raise at the quest level.

    When you can get lvl 3 or 4 quests from the trader you prolly get a quest to open a new traderrout too.

    The difficult just adjust the strenght of the Z's not how many/big the horde's are (so far i know).

    You need to reduce the heat much more.

    Workstation that run all the day, you should put into a additonal base at another chunk.

    When noone is at these base, no screamer will appear there anyway, you just need to pickup/reful 1-2 times the day.

    It is a kind of cheap DRM protection, Ubisoft/Epic is much worse then steam.

    And not to forget they want to monitor your playing times for their statistics.

     

  7. None, if you only use bicycle and solar panells 🙂

    4 for each vehicle type one. 6 for generator bank.

     

    But you know murphy's law, when you searching for something you never get it. And once you don't need it anymore you find plenty.

    Basicly happen for your first minibike/motorcycle, you got anything beside engine or wheels(acid) and these don't want appear.

    Endgame scenario:

    You got someone with Inteligence 11/12 which  is able to reseach a cure or nanovirus that turns zombie's into pile of rotting flesh.

    Then you need to takeover one of these rocketbases or build an new one.

    While you activate the rockets, you geting a constant blood moon event duration 2-7 days.

    After that you won the game and a credits screen appear and you will see a hall of fame.

     

  9. DF got alot of new plants/trees. And plants need water to grow.

    Together with new recipes like paste, orange marmelade toast and orange tea, you have many stuff to try out and feed yourself.

    Chicken nest for egg's and animal traps for meat.

    Serveral new POI's when you use random generator. There are also pregenerated maps, one number is vanilla only POI the other got got custom POI, but forget which number got what.

     

    But since DF is an overhaul, many other mod's won't work (well) with DF you need to be careful with them.

    Ask the author of the 250 slot backpack for a DF version of that mod, or don't use it.

     

    At a overhaul mod, many other mod's don't work (well) anymore.

    You can't get sap from any tree.

    Be sure you try it at the right class of trees.

    Just keep the bowls with you and try it somewhere else until you found the right trees.

     

  12. There is no endgame goal. The goal is survival.

    When you and your team allready reached the max. gear level you could increase the difficult like lower the loot drop chance, made Z tougher, do less damage to Z and blocks.

     

    But when that all nothing help, you need to raise the difficult at your own, like hardcore mode when someone is dead, he is out. Or use a mod that reset him to level 1.

     

    Try out overhaul mod's like Darkness Fall's or Undead Legacy.

    Both change the game drastical, it still looks the same but play different.

    Darkness fall at last got some "story" to close the demonic portal which you could count as endgame goal ! 🙂

    You should try it out.

    BUT completly delete (not uninstall) 7d2d folder, so there are no old files left.

    Then reinstal 7d2d  19.5

    unzip the DF files into the the Mods folder.

    Since you don't use the mod launcher, the world data should be located somewhere else then the install folder, but you should check that before you delete anything.

    You didn't found a trader, just a POI that looks like a trader at first. But when you open the front gate a bunch of Z's jump at your.

    You don't have to be worried about the traders, even when they got killed, they respawn after awhile, and if you like you can reinforce their structures.

     

  15. Stealth works very well.

    You even can kill them well at night if you can see them. Just shoot them with the bow, change position and got some distance, shoot again.

    But you shouldn't made much noise when you notice there are some around.

    Chop tree's and mine stuff while stealthed, that reduce the noise abit. But when the tree fall down it made many noise anyway and you should be prepared to get some distance to the tree.

    Looting, better lootquality helps you to find better quality. There is a skill (lucky looter ?) and some equipment (some glasses) that raise it.

    Crafting, you need to advance at the crafting skill of that item to get 50+ quality. Some Master skills further can give you +10 quality.

    But maybe you notice self, nearly each weapon type got his own skill requirement for crafting, that made it very hard or impossible that you can craft all items on very high quality.

     

    Mosttimes i find 50+ item with looting, keep these and use the workbench combine feature to repair them with lower quality ones.
