  1. sinda You are wrong the default is RH Lesser Cities Mixer. Do not offer me casual, I'm a hardcore. I'm playing the standard 21 day version, with the reclaimed loot turned off and one life in warrior.

How can I turn on the sound of the steps of the awakened zombie? The disorderly spawn of a zombie behind his back strains.

Fashion is certainly good, but a lot of kinks, i have to correct some details. For example, for slicing bread or cheese, you do not need to know the recipe. Tea can be cooked on a conventional fire in a can...

what kinks, dont just say "a lot", give example. all food recipes are working as intended.

  2. Thanks for the info. I also found out that mining the large stone formations above ground gets you limestone.

That's too bad about the traders because they are so rare and expensive now anyways. Mobs break in and kill the trader eventually

think of it more as the trader ran away.

  3. I liked the ability of the character to climb into one block, it helps a lot. But with the traders you screwed up, they disappeared. A significant drawback of the new generator in the absence of large settlements. On a huge map there is only one big city and two middle ones. The mod is designed for group passage with respawn loot, waiting for the SP version.

consider traders and cities working as intended. If you do any reading, look in the Extras Folder for alternate map generation. There is no SP version, you can play any version as SP. There is a Casual version. all versions are in the modlauncher

  4. Hi!

Can anyone send me seed wich have new Apocalyptic City with Makasin tower? Oh and cord to find it faster i just cant find any on my worlds thanks!

The Apocalyptic city is supposed to be rare and well hidden on the map. Restart the same seed over and you could find it in a different location.

  5. Yeah I like alot of aspects of it, but here is one aspect I dispise: the zombies are way to damn tanky even on nomad diffculty, seriously, 30 headshots with a 300 quality wooden club and a utility worker type zombie still wasn't even knocked down once. Are all the headshot mults removed or something? It should not be taking 30+ headshots to kill zombies. I know about the right click power attack, But I doubt it does enough extra damage to even be worth the insane stamina it uses.

Fought this one zombie named a Bolivar, and it took almost 5 minutes of headshotting it to kill it. I also am unable to loot poi's as the zombies are so tanky, I can't kill them in the poi, and leading them out doesn't work as they just insta respawn back inside. Been trying to find a second twine for this adv survival intro quest for 2 days in game now.

Looked into the xml's and that explains the tanky zombies, even the basic male template has almost 500 health.

Lastly I am having a weird technical problem, when the game first loads it literally maxes out my SSD's bandwith or whatever, but its not 7daystodie.exe thats doing it, its the system thing in task manager. Might be a issue on my end though and not the mod itself, but any advice both on killin the zeds in this mod, and my SSD performance issues with it.

Any zombie with a helmet on has reduced blunt damage. Utility workers are the worst against blunt weapons. Decapitation from blades might help to compensate for low blunt skill levels. Bolivar is a boss-type so has higher HP than surrounding zombies.

  6. Hi!

I just thought I would respond to this because I agree with a few points as far as my personal gaming preferences go, so I made a few xml edits to fit how I like to play.

It is, of course, important to voice these concerns, but here are a few things that may help you move past them if the dev team disagrees with these design suggestions.

    1. I don't have a solution for this. This is something to get used to, it's how Ravenhearst is. Try and get in the mindset of different progression. It can be a struggle, but see my answer to 3 for a trickle-down solution that may help with resources.

    2. Again with how Ravenhearst is, it also opens up a ton of future crafting options. I love the logs for fuel purposes. It does take a little to get used to.

    3. Ok so this is a big point here, I personally HATE tanky zombies. It breaks immersion for me completely. So what I did was a minor xml edit to clean this up. In "items.xml" I did a search and replace for

    DamageBonus.head" value="

    with

    DamageBonus.head" value="1

    then

    DamageBonus.head" value="11

    with

    DamageBonus.head" value="2

(so you don't have stuff at x117 head damage etc)

This will basically add an additional x10 entity damage to head shots. It knocks the zombie difficulty down a ton and increases the pace considerably. I also play with my wife and her friend and they don't care for the insane zombie difficulty.

This is a major difficulty drop, but in a way that, for me personally, increases the fun factor considerably.

4: The adjustment to 3 makes this issue wash out for the most part. I personally like it, but if it really bothers you editing

    <property name="RepairTools" value="clubrepairKit"/>

    with like

    <property name="RepairTools" value="wood"/>

can remove the kits for key starting items, etc.

5: This one sucks. Quick workaround in the meantime is to use the favorites system. You'll just have to click favorites when you log on or are done crafting. Not a real fix, but may help for now.

6: Yeah, this one is a struggle with no water source. I don't really have any suggestions there :]

    Hope this helps!

It sounds like you might want to tweak your game a little. Try the head shot damage thing, it may do it for you. You may want to use half the value too.

    Good luck!

Those tweaks really take away from the intent and challenge that is RH. You might as well go play vanilla on easy mode 1. However if you can mod, make your own so you can breath on zombies and kill them.

  7. I just wanted to add my two pennies worth.

Having played 4.2 to day 86 (until 4.3's release) I found it just the right level of challenging and the only issue I had was, who on earth puts mayo on a bacon and egg sandwhich! :playful:

    I do! :tickled_pink:

  8. Honestly the only real issue I have, that really bothers me is how tanky most zombies are. I can deal with the rest easly enough, but zombies taking like 6+ headshots on nomad diffculty is a little nuts.

turn down difficulty level or play casual, whining about it generally speaking wont change nothing. Make a list, name the zombies you are having issues with, in a more constructive way may get further here.

  9. Well it's day 50 and another trader bites the dust. Great mod in most respects, but I have to disagree with the decision to not protect the traders. Sorry, but this is too frustrating for me (I could spawn them in, but don't feel I should have to do this).

Guess I'll take a break from 7DTD and play some Darkest Dungeon while I'm waiting for A17 to drop.

I was in the same boat found a dozen or more traders that were gone.

When this "feature" was first released in RH, there was an 80% chance for a broken/missing/dead trader visibly noticeable by the broken outer wall usually next to the door. 4.3 will be reducing that chance, to what %, idk.

  10. traders disappear frequently in vanilla with trader protection on.

here's just a sample google has to offer.

    6c40be6bc6.jpg

traders disappeared in vanilla due to a bug, not intentional like RH had it.

    - - - Updated - - -

Hmmm Not seeing it on the mod launcher - any ideas? I also checked the GitLab repo, but the 14 day repo was just a README file.

not released yet still in testing and QA.

  11. Hello :) can anyone help me? Do I really need some hamburger/cheeseburger recipe that doesn't even use pickles to make pickles for Sinder's Pickles? I thought reading the Sinder's Stewing recipe would help that but still says I need some recipe. Halp! ahah

There are a bunch of recipe books with several recipes.

OMG, who puts pickles on a cheeseburger! @cinder!

  12. The workbench has its own skill, which is visible and can be opened. The Research Desk does not have it. I had to go into progression.xml to figure out how to activate it. It is not right!

Another unpleasant change is due to the cooking of dishes. Why did you remove the microwave, and instead offered a appliance Table?

I have the eighteenth day and I can not cook anything except boiled meat. About a hundred cans I can not boil. I had to correct this stupidity myself. Now I can warm up the canned food on an advancedCampfire.

the research desk, shows your impatience and blindness from reading too many patch notes is unlocked via reading Knowledge points, 20 blue papers (EDIT: its actually 10 KP papers), right-click to read and there you go, the research desk recipe. Maybe next time ask first? Discord is open to everyone, even my selective brotherhood of trolls is there. (@sinder)

AS for heating food, the appliance table has a microwave and you can heat food in there just fine. Infact, the table is part of a quest line that is required you make one and place it. its pretty obvious you didnt bother with much of the quests, so keep trying.

  13. some things are left to player exploration, as you'd expect in a game like this. just like the workbench quest does not describe that you must reach x level of construction tools. people need to use their heads for things that are easily discernible. like you did :)

omfg people are supposed to think here? wtf! I been lucky so far!

  14. yeah and the bow line is a little janked up in rhythm because the starting weapon used to be the xbow. got changed and didn't get the tweaks it should have.

i think its fine as is, really.

  15. Giving RavenH a run through before A17. Looking great!

Few issues on day one. Loot is doubling on goreblocks, always. Beginner weapon quests requiring using woodclub and woodbow exclude using starter weapons like iron bow and siked club. Those are easy fixes in xml.

I think its intentional since the iron bow/spike club are part of the class quest line after you used weapons like reinforced club. the iron bow is next after wooden bow in the archer quest line.

  16. I'm seeing 50 to 1 Herd Zombies to regular zombies. (most current version) Makes it pretty difficult to complete any side quest involving killing zombies as herd ones don't seem to count? I have to say so far I'm not really enjoying the herd zombies very much as they just burn arrows with no loot to boot. You sure can't waste bullets on them as guns seem really rare and not many bullets either (only day 4 I realize, but only one very low level AK and less than 100 rounds for it) One large house I looted probably had 40 zombies in it and they were all herd (as are most POI's I enter) Is this your intended approach? Little to no loot from zombies.

I think its intended. The way i understand what Jax wants for us is to slow progress to a near crawl, perfectly fine with me, which also means you might not reach level 100 by day 50 anymore. Slow is guuder.

  17. what the regen command do plz as most of our traders are dead .. where do i find info on this as well tks alot

you can manually spawn in traders. I havent used regen command because i think restores a wide variety of things.

  18. The addition of Minor Infection was to resemble real world experience (you get no benefits for having it). Infections develop anti-bodies to combat future infections, there is no guarantee you will not get them in the future, but you can recover faster from them each time you get one partly because you know how to take care of yourself better. In RH4, if you have to go thru the same long recovery process every time you are infected, it can get rather annoying.

Adding a bath, jacuzzi, shower and hot tub will help tremendously. Having watch several shows about the zombie apocalypse, I have yet to see daily baths/showers. That doesnt make it alright to dish out a minor infection because you skipped a few showers/bathes. Being smelly is one thing thats prolly normal everyday 80% of the time. I really like the concept of the infection, but its too easy to get vs to hard (@impatient folk) to get rid of and you do have the bonus of it all being taxing on medical supplies. I would imagine priority should be preventing it from getting worse, not curing it. So eating honey or taking anti-biotics should not only stop it form getting worse but should stop it it from taking health/stamina but continue to burn lots of calories to keep it at bay.

A17 should help Jax(+team) develop a method of resistance, not treat, against that repetitive annoyance. I hope.

Edit: I posted this while I was sleeping...almost. So let me add, The buckets are in game can we use them for a "rinse off" when we are dirty, not a bath or clean, just a rinse to remove dirty and back to normal.

  19. lookit this guy- being so helpful, kind, and friendly.

hey now, dont you recognize when someone is passing the buck? dont make out to be nice ! thats rude without permission!

  20. JaxTeller718 Finally returned the bandits would be more fun. In the current version, stealth does not work. It's impossible to sneak up on a sleeper, he always sees and gets up. It would be good to get the skill < < stealth > > in version 4.

the sleeper HEARS you sneak up.

  21. Well, even with the mod launcher I cant get it to work. Anyone can give an explanation how?

    Nope. Need moar....

    Better yet....
