  • Bicycle gets teleported...

    Summary: When was cleaning POI bicycle that were left in front of POI get teleported to back of POI.

     

    Game Version: A20 b218

    Platform: PC 

    OS/Version: Windows 

    CPU Model: Ryzen 3800X

    System Memory:  32GB

    GPU Model and VRAM: nVidia GTX 1080

    Screen Resolution: 2K

    Video Settings: ~Ultra

    Game mode: SP

     

    Did you wipe old saves? Yes

    Did you start a new game? Yes

    Did you validate your files? Yes

    Are you using any mods? No

    EAC on

    Bug Description:

     

     

    Bike gets teleported when cleaning up POI (store_hardware_02.781), it happen for an second time. Looks like it teleport bike for an +- similar offset (at least direction).

     

    In logs:

    Killed zombie on 555x-1275 (no quest active)

     

    And 4 second later bike is reported in location:

    When before it were in front of POI:

    I didn't noticed when exactly it changed location.

     

    Map: PREGEN6K

     

    Actual result: Bike changed place

     

    Expected result: Bike don't change place

    Had this happen last night, didnt matter where i left my minibike. outside a POI, outside my base, even at the trader. Mini bike was not where i left it, as soon as i got out of sight of it. It would "move" 20 feet away and usually 10 feet down. Get a shovel and start digging.

     

    I thought maybe lag, but it happened on a private solo map as well

     

    It's almost amusing, until you are in the wasteland and your bike is full on storage and you have to empty it before you dig it out

     

    its them zombies, "hey look, someone left their bike out....lets bury it! yeah! lets mess with their heads!"

    Me and my friends are having the same issue, I'm the host and my vehicles don't teleport but my 2 friends vehicles teleport sometimes in the air and sometimes underground. It happens always when they leave their vehicle and go loot for ~5mins

    I've had a couple situations like this happen, both at Trader Jen's.  I was viewing her inventory and when I left the menu, I got teleported under the map and behind her trailer.  Another time, I left the menu and went outside to hop on my bicycle and noticed it was gone (It was parked within her safe zone on the street outside).  I believe the bike ended up in the same spot as I had previously.  I had to turn DM on with no collision and go under the map to pick up the bicycle.  Luckily I'm just playing single player and could do that.

    "more details or information that we can use to reproduce this" for me its "play a game".

    Unless you got some debug logs that can be enabled.

     

    Happen 3x times today for me, last time found my motorcycle in a concrete.

    Logging is on by default. Output logs are in the 7DaysToDie_Data folder and can be uploaded to pastebin and linked here, as the op has demonstrated. They are very helpful.

    I was playing pregen 10K and got teleported a few times when running (motorcycle) around "snow cities". When this happened I got stuck: metal stairs on a POI and trader wall twice. I logged off to fix and then all my toolbar was gone. I save my games so I could restore.

     

    Just sharing my experience because are kind of similar bugs.

    this was earlier today (and my new favorite pic).   Gremlins hard at work

     

    So from my experience with it, the bug doesn't affect the host, but will randomly affect someone who connects to your game. This pic was from my friend who connects to me. Yesterday, I had 2 people connect and one of them had the bug while the other did not. Likewise, if i connect to someone, I may or may not get the bug. 

     

    And I did see their bike move. i was riding past on my bike, honked my horn on the way by and their bike, which was sitting out front of their POI, moved 15-20 blocks from its original position, luckily just on the street.
