Zombie AI and base designs.

SO farthe zombie Ai seems must improved. Has anyone figured out the way they decide a path? It seems like they alwyas take the path that is the easiest to them but I'm not sure if I'm missing something :)

We almost survived the first 7 day horde last night. We built a box on one end that is 3 blocks deep of cobblestone. We then built a single way for them to enter, with a door between them and us. We could shoot out of the holes on the side. WE thought the fires woudl set them on fire but it didn't seem very effective xD oh and every outside wall and the tunnel inside were lined with barbed wire.

 

The zombies spawned on one of the sides and actually walked to the front to enter there, no damage to any side except the entrance! Our only problem was the ferals beat the door down and we ran out of forged iron (we didn't count on having to repair a lot, we derped hard) .

 

 

 

What have you guys figured out about how they path now? If we added spikes to the room instead of fires will they still see that as the easiest path? or do they consider how much damage they'll take crossing the spikes?
