paolo
good morning, for a few weeks sections of my base have been collapsing on their own, when I try to rebuild blocks that give green outlines after a few moments of being put into position they detach and make everything collapse again, the game was restarted after the latest patch was implemented, and I don't use mods https://pastebin.com/SbYVH0nZ Edited October 19 by SylenThunder Removed wall of text (see edit history)
pharen
Having the same issue, both good and bad to know it's not just me. I am using mods to add content, but no overhauls, or anything game changing.
paolo
Ello, my base was made up of three levels now there isn't much left https://jpst.it/3Yi5i Let's hope some user has a solution
pharen
I think I have an idea of what might be wrong. This feels like a chunk loading issue, like an optimisation bug. As in the game is loading sections of the base, not checking support of unloaded areas, deciding parts are unsupported, and collapsing them. At least in my case. The design is symmetrical, so the whole back should break if it was wrong, and it also does not collapse when I'm around. I'm playing singleplayer, so it's not a player grief. It's infuriating to lose a maxed out dew collector on day 12 when it's 10k of dukes to rebuy the parts, and this has happened twice now. I'm gonna have to quit the game until they fix this. paolo
I completely agree, even if I will continue to play some games, we hope that the report will lead to assistance being activated to resolve the problem

That is the main way things will get seen and fixed. I've been playing 1.1 on a new save and have had no trouble with my base stability, so I can't troubleshoot what is happening for you. Do you have automatic chunk reset enabled and haven't placed a land claim that fully covers your base? That shouldn't be the issue since it shouldn't reset a chunk of you have been there recently, but it could be a bug with that. Since you are right next to the trader, you may be on the trader POI and that may be the cause of your problem. You should be careful not to build on any POI that could reset either due to a quest or because traders seem to reset occasionally (perhaps whenever their inventory changes, though I haven't tested that). Of course, it seems to happen to the front instead of the side by the trader, so that probably isn't your issue. Catdaddy
On 10/19/2024 at 6:12 PM, pharen said: This feels like a chunk loading issue This is the answer. It has been happening for years when large builds straddle chunk boundaries. When you approach from a distance, there can be a gap between the loading of the nearest chunk and the next one over. This can cause dependent elements to load before they are supported, then collapse.
paolo
I had placed the claim block and the area completely covered the base, I don't know if I have the block reset activated can you tell me in which option it is? unfortunately the base has completely collapsed into a huge crater; resources, weapons, tools, everything lost now I have built another one always close to the Sperian shop don't start to collapse this one too https://prnt.sc/ul4a109V5Ql7 https://prnt.sc/1vfaW3fPN6UN IT APPEARS THAT AN ISRAELI BOMBER TOWARDS THE WRONG ROUTE🤣😕
