Beatsteak89
edit: I went into preview and it autoposted it 3 times. can't delete the other 2 posts inspired by this post I figured while waiting for 19 I could post some screenshots of my old design. a kill corridor which could be used as either shooting range or afk automated kill tunnel. features: 104 dart traps (left, right, up & down) electric fences auto turrets trip wire + camera sensors to save power a lot of stairs and ladders a tiny bit of wedge tip cheese (but nobody ever made it to that) everything could be switched off/on I got the skill that gives 50% experience from electric trap kills. All dart traps were connected to trip wire. Auto turrets and electric fence were visually triggered by camera sensors. This turned out to be the best method. electric fence, tripwire and dart traps were given power by the solar panels over day and battery banks at night. Demolishers and Cops died instantly as soon as they entered the corridor. Seemed to me that the bigger the enemy the better the arrows hit. I used the junk turret just for the anti radiation mod so that it would shut down healing and reapply the debuff. After I added all the ladders and stairs the pathing worked. the screenshots below are from different stages but the build was finished. at the end of the corridor there was a jump loop. the wedge tips were pathing to the player. after a horde night you could turn off the traps and go over the tips right into the tunnel and loot & repair. I used 2 rows of arrow slits to keep all my electricity save. there was never anything damaged and needed repair or any kind of maintenance really. dart trap ammo had to be refilled occasionally. you'll notice I kept the ceiling extra high to keep unwanted explosions in mind. all batterys & solar cells had purple quality underneath there were 3 rows of 13 dart traps and on top aiming down aswell. left & right side 1 row. dart traps left & right side were connected with the same tripwire and so were top & down dart traps with their own tripwire. the reason why some screenshots are so bright is because I played with 80% gamma and the server had modded light blocks which had torches build into them. the electric fence posts on the left & right side were build upside down so they could be triggered by dogs, spider zombies and crawlers. for anyone struggling with electricity, here's how I connected 2 dart traps from left to right in the corridor: solar bank -> battery bank -> switch -> relay -> tripwire left -> tripwire right -> dart trap right > dart trap left

Beatsteak89
thanks. also for everyone I'd advise not to go by the pictures before day 210 as I had it wired wrong multiple times. I had the electric fence connected to tripwire at first which turned out to be highly impractical. all the trip wires consumed too much power while idle and I had my batterys go empty while nothing happened. triggering them visually with a sensor was the best method. the very first horde with this design only the left side of dart traps fired. there was always something that didn't fire or didn't work. but finally the damage output of multiple dart traps shot at once from different directions was surprising. I didn't even have to worry about my junk turret setting off a demolisher because they died right at the entrance everytime, cops too. another tip: sensors can see 15 blocks distance put signs next to everything with as few words possible but be detailed write circuits down in notepad
