You know, not being able to answer that question without taking the skill while simultaneously being unable to change my skills at some point is a less-than-fun design. Pipe bombs practicaly no damage, rocket launcher also not anything comparable to A16 even with explosive damage maxed out. I guess Explosives are still on to do list for TFP and right now its better that you just invest into other perks that fits your playstyle ( Ranged is preferred playstyle ATM ).
