Sorry Matt that the tone, visuals, theme, mechanics, and now pricing model of the game are so opposite of what you want. I guess things didn’t turn out the way you would have wished. That happens sometimes with early access titles.

That's true.  Eh... To be honest with you -  while i complain about new models of guns or armors but you know - this is like complaing of uncle that  his favourite bar in 94's was better that now - after all i like to play 7dtd and even bugs like wrong restarting of this big T5 hospital POI if you play in coop are.... accetable - anygame is perfect and even Factorio have many problems after many years.   Yet Microtransations are just bad thing. Even if it will be just skins.  I realy miss good time of expansion packs - CoD1 UO expansion pack was pretty like COD 2 about changes of gameplay. Or Empire at war. Yeah thing changes like costs but still we had good DLC : The Following fo DL1 , Darknest dungeons ( maybe shieldbreaks is pretty small dlc but added new mechanics enemies too not just character). Or biding of issac dlc or for  call to arms :ostfront,

So i know it's low chance but i hope there will be like 5-10 skins max and will focus on big expansion packs with true content like enemies, weapons, maps etc.  - stuff in Roadmap was actualy known before so ... still there is a chance for packs

It's clear that you don't know the mod scene for 7 days to die if you think the only mods out there for 7 days to die are parody only mods.  I thought about listing all the ones I can think of off the top of my head, but figured it is a waste of time if this is already what you think of the mods that are currently out there today.

Okay i will shortly review most of big mods  ( well i mentioned in previous post big mods not small mods - some small mods are good but.. are small.)

2017? No thanks, I much prefer the better version of the game we have now and the better version it will be in the future. For console it has improved so much that it might as well be a sequel.

With microtransations? Sounds terrible. Check dunno even cod WaW vs Vanguard. Or Dead Island 1 vs Dying light 2.  Microtransations is like -6 rating for a game. Yeah you will guys have more money. But i rather prefere have 1 time paid game with 100% not live service.

"For consoles" and.....? It's like saying that "Yeah Koei didn't release new Fatal frame but Pc get a port". Yeaah... with Microtransations :) so why anyone would be happy about? So for console players is this same situation. why? because -

    1. If someone wanted to play 7dtd probably manage to buy PC since 2013

    Or

    2. Didn't care about 7dtd at all.

If someone wanted to play Fatal frame then this person bought console. So nah. it Doesn't solve microtransation problem

We had big overhaul mods before 2017, in 2017, we have them now, and they will exist in the future. Not entirely sure what point you are trying to make here.

People will almost always complain about microtransactions. DLC is not microtransactions.

Literaly you have said "outfits" - this is mictrotransation like fortnite skins or cod bundles.

RE4  remake as example : DLC can be

    1. Expansion - separated ways

    2. Mictrotransations - skins, weapons

So what is going to get for 7DTD? outfits = mictrotransations.

If they said big expansion pack like DL1 Following dlc or even dark souls 2 packs i would be happy and praying devs as crazy. but nah microtransations.

About mods : I give you example : you want immersive mods? here you go. Or Sci fi stuff? no problem. LOTR? here we go.

    7DTD : parody only :)

If you want to ask " So... what do you want?"

check out this video : in short - being more serious not Aliens, demons, lasers or mutants with miniguns

If they had released what they had back in 2017 then you’d be getting a lot less of the features listed on the roadmap and what we have today would be 7 Days to Die 2 which would have cost you quite a bit more than getting it all for what you originally paid plus the option to buy extra outfits.

If you’re bent out of shape over this list of features they shifted to post launch most of which will still be free, then how can you say you’d much prefer to have 1.0 seven years ago and then pay full game price for what we have now?

Hey, ask the console players how they feel about that….

    3 things :

    1. If it was released in 2017 we would have big overhauls mods already

    2. Nobody would complain about microtransations in sequel because... well it will be diffrent game not this same that most of us paid years ago. Such stuff like mictronsation should be metioned during kickstarter/ before able too buy not after so long time. This same stuff like with new tekken when they added mictrotransation after month of release so people are angry and... can't even refund this game so fell cheated

    3. Are you sure just outfits? now outfits in 2025 can be weapons etc. Re 4 remake style xd

If they wanted to make microtransation then could make 7dtd 2 :) problem solved.

"If you’re bent out of shape over this list of features they shifted to post launch most of which will still be free, then how can you say you’d much prefer to have 1.0 seven years ago and then pay full game price for what we have now?"

If you mean - 7 years ago release finished with all stuff from kickstarter list let's say in 2017 then....  let's say 7dtd 2 get Ea in 2020 with mictrotransations  then i woudn't buy 7dtd 2. Sorry i have enough of it in RE4, COD, ZOMBIE ARMY and more games.

We are getting a good variety of outfits for 1.0. It’s not like they are giving us just one light, one medium, and one heavy armor outfit and then we have to pay for more. Without ever paying an extra dime you’ll have a great variety to play with that give a divers mix of bonuses.

Modders will also probably be able to take existing outfits and duplicate them with additional bonuses for even more variety. It’s only if you care about the cosmetic appearance  that you’ll feel a need to buy extra outfits.

    Yeah yeah.

Why make true expension packs in style of dunno :darkest dungeon if you can make microtransations xd

Don't rely on modders.  Oblivion had mods and what?  Everyone remember horse armor. So - adding microtransation is bad. And unfair.

  5. 18 minutes ago, Roland said:

In the original Kickstarter roadmap they listed smooth terrain as a feature that would come after 1.0 launch. Personally I’m glad they shifted their timeline on that  and got it done sooner. If that means a different feature such as bandits needed to then be pushed back it doesn’t bother me. There were always going to be features that would be added after 1.0.

This is first and foremost a zombie survival game. So, imo, as long as the game has zombies to survive against it’s fine for 1.0. Already there are people who mod out traders because they only want zombies. Already people have asked if there will be an option to disable bandits because they only want zombies. I don’t agree with those people but it does seem to indicate that bandits aren’t seen as an essential feature of a zombie survival game by everyone.

I do want bandits but I definitely can see them as a late game expansionary feature beyond the scope of a basic zombie game.

And lack of Zombie Nomad mode ( oh wait it will be as paid spinoff with microtransations :) )

I don't want bandits but metioned then from diffrent reason -  i'm saying that they were always saying about them and now they " nah post 1.0 is going to have them.

    Yeah, it's a shame.

I had hoped for this game to become something good...

But now they're going to deliver the game, add more content and optimizations (and crossplay).

    What a pity. :ohwell:

Yeah -  maybe we remove a lot of content , maybe we developing game for many years but hey!  at least you guys will have mictrotransations :)

Best trade ever xd Just Tekken situation.

I'm not really upset cuz it's most likely for console. I highly doubt they will have mods

Plus they need money to keep the lights on

Then they could.... finish it years ago if they financial situation is so bad?

  6. 4 minutes ago, Teezer said:

    That's a really questionable feature.

Outfits DLC, but they will add Steam workshop in the future (meaning modders would eventually create outfits too)...

Steam Workshop will be (imo) the main way to increase the lifespan of the game after reaching gold+ and they shouldn't make DLC that can restrict the workshop in the future...

Oblivion had mods and still everyone was angry abour horse armor.

    7dtd now - microtransations

    bloodmoon? microtransations

They can restrict workshop after all

ehh i realy wish that 7dtd was finished in 2017. i think it would be the best for everyone xd

I think the primitives should overcome some sort of penalty for not wearing any clothing in that spot. Maybe there's a greater chance of infection if you're not wearing at least primitive clothing on the body part that got hit?

No shoes? For persons who haven't trained up for it, going without shoes outdoors is usually painful. The game could slow movement a little.

    Or increase speed in time

    2. sounds like a disadvantage to me 😉

at first TFP didn't wanted guns variants to make it simpler while many people were asking for it : junk MG --> AK--> tactical ---> M60

but Okay : armors was in this same style too so it was simple ok. Not best but acctable because many games about survival have this same logic.

then add variants of armor not tier based which you can't easy say which is better : is better preacher or lumberjack? idk either

So totaly 180* change of logic. So now it would have sense to remove tiers from weapons and add more variants of them

Since you guys have seen/guessed most of them, here is the current list of Armors for A22.
As always, this list is still WIP and/or subject to change.
Armors previously shown that are NOT listed below, may or may not be used in a future update.

Primitive Outfit - Replacement for legacy plant fiber clothing. Adds some protection, but no buffs or bonuses.

Light Armors - No movement penalties like legacy padded armor

    1. Lumberjack
    2. Preacher
    3. Rogue
    4. Athletic
    5. Enforcer

Medium Armors - Replacements for legacy "Light Armor" such as leather and military

    1. Farmer
    2. Biker
    3. Scavenger
    4. Ranger
    5. Commando
    6. Assassin

Heavy Armors - Replacements for legacy "Heavy Armor" such as scrap, iron, and steel

    1. Miner
    2. Nomad
    3. Nerd
    4. Raider

    <sigh> old armors were better

    1. More realistic

    2. easy to know what is better ( steel better that iron)

    3. old armors didn't sounded like made for diablo or titan quest but for normal post apo game xd

Darn…your hope was all they were waiting for to release into early access.

You are making a lot of assumptions from very skimpy information. Like I said, there is much more than 5% difference between the two games. One is not just a mod overhaul of the other. Time and more information will bear that out.

Regardless, you STILL are not entitled to Kickstarter promises if you aren’t a Kickstarter backer. YOUR terms of service are listed on the Steam Early Access explanation page.

    Ok:

    1.microtransations - prove :

    image.thumb.png.8b88963ae4672069e3eea10b2a3ed828.png

it can be translate as : buying in app

    2. people not happy about EA ;

    SOURCE:  https://steamcommunity.com/app/2312280/discussions/

    3. Yeah will be information in future. And.. this don't change fact that's trailer is mid.

Maybe you have more info that me yet - this same as let's say we can say about star wars Acothlite. Trailer is mid. But people who are somehow connected know more about it yet - we can only judge what we officaly see.

So - i won't analises trailer frame by frame. Yet most things are from 7dtd. And yes it's pretty much a mod. People modded MP for skyrim. Battlefront 2 will get battlefront 3 mod . Don't even mentioning source mods

And right now there are people posting upset about the 5% new in Bloodmoons that wasn’t put into this game instead.  Heads would explode if Bloodmoons was 95% new…

Someone is always going to be mad about diametrically opposite things and for opposite reasons.

Personally, I think there is quite a bit more than just 5% new with Bloodmoons. And as its development continues it will get more new and different parts.

7 Days is its starting point and they are still at the start.

I told before that people will be angry. check Steam dissucusions. What is new? Ah right - microtransations ( you check info about it on steam) .  Zombie models? this same. Weapons? this same. Armors? will be in future A for 7dtd so again this same thing .You can say - POI : which only halve true because you see a lot of reused stuff. You can say "you know it will be PVP based and you can control zombie" okay : so playing as zombie should be in 7dtd too. why?

"Solo, Cooperative and Multiplayer - Play solo, coop or multiplayer in our unique Zombie Nomad Mode be a human, a bandit or a zombie for a no rules experience. Watch the leader boards and fight to be the Big Clan of the Wasteland or the Duke of Navezgane."

    source

7 Days to Die - Zombie Survival Game by The Fun Pimps Entertainment LLC — Kickstarter

Okay - so what about mechanics? my answer is https://store.steampowered.com/app/952070/RESIDENT_EVIL_RESISTANCE/ . This game were using such concept and well... you can see reviews. And it was added for free if you bought RE3 remake.

So sorry - it doesn't make good first impression.  If you can say " guns, zombies are just placeholders" but it's unlikly:

why post trailer to make bad impression with mostly reused assets which looks like mod? better would be even make vertical slice like Blight with only new stuff

And you can say "there is no such mod for such mechanics" ok you are right - but for zombie kids, ww2 maps, and crafting in Dark Messiaha of might and magic either. Because

    1. 7dtd is not finished to another update will break such big mod

    2. people talented enough would consider and talk about it already if they would be interested about it

    So: to be honest :

    1. Microtransations

    2. EA

    3. Tons of reused content.

So i don't have too much hopes about until there will big improvment

  13. 23 hours ago, Roland said:

Because it was an original pitched feature for the Kickstarter. You can’t offload a promised feature to a new game and have it be a fulfillment of the game backers pledged money to get—not unless backers are getting a  free key for Blood Moon.

My hope is that 7 Days will still get Horde Mode back and they can have defeated players play as zombies working to help get the rest of the players out. That would fulfill the promised feature.

That may be a paler version of the full Blood Moons game but backers wouldn’t be paying extra for it and even the simple horde mode they used to have was fun as it was.

To be honest - if 7dtd owners will get free keys for it it would be fair and i would stop complaining

Why? because it would be like like RE3 + RE RESISTANCE situation. So then - resuse so many assets etc. will be accetable

At the very least 7 Days to Die is knocking on the door of Horror Spoof’s door if not already inside having dinner. Why do you think we have so many repetitive conversations with @Matt115?

A zombie poodle could fit right in tbh…

maybe not as a general enemy but as a special boss of a poi? Hilarious and totally something I could see the pimps doing for the laughs.

Agree there was so many them. and after seeing 7d bloodmoons i'm just dissapointed. it's looks like free mod xd. Realy - Lambda Wars na Steam (steampowered.com) . But at least Lambda wars is for free. I woudn't mind if 7d bloodmoons was just mobile game - totaly accetable to use stuff from "big game".

Okay and before someone say "BUT IT'S BASE ON 7DTD with few new POI !" Well mount and blade fire and sword base on mount and blade too but you have mostly orginal stuff like weapons, characters customisation, armors, locations, factions, assets etc.  so : Bloodmoons 95% old stuff 5% new, M&B with fire and sword - 95% new stuff 5% old

I don't see any problem with the dire wolf.  I think it looks really good.  You can't really avoid similarities with other games because a dire wolf is a dire wolf no matter what game it is in.  It may not be a real animal but there is a common view of what it should look like, so you will have similarities just like you would for real animals.  Nothing wrong with that.

You arguments would be right if not : 1. bald skull 2. eyes.   And you can avoid similaries! example:

I remember that they changed the look of the trees of the burnt forest from what they were originally and that there was an alpha where the trees were very densely packed and then they thinned it out. I remember that it got removed from random gen eventually and then combined somewhat with wasteland. Now I’ve read that it will return as its own biome but I haven’t yet seen it. I know it was never removed from Navezgane. So…not very periodic in my memory as far as removing the biome and reinstating it multiple times. It’s good news it’s coming back in my opinion.

Agree i love it. i hope it will be mines and traps hell
