    First of all I did not say over the drone. I said keep the Drone but add followers. 

    Secondly adding to the complexity is minimal now that they have the script for the Drone. 

    Finally will it help it go to Gold? No but neither is adding a Drone. 

  3. I am wondering if TFP's have changed their minds about adding followers to the game.

     

    The last time we talked. Madmole did not like the idea because he didn't think that followers could path there way though player dug mines, POI's and rough terrain. 

    However now that I have seen the Drone in action. I could see that pathing is no longer an issue. As the Drone can pass though solid objects and won't get hung up. 

    So I was thinking that the bipedal Follower could work now. Maybe make it so the follower could pass though and or over stuff that has got them hung up. Perhaps even adding a quadrupedal like a dog as well. 

    These followers would be a good fit and go better with the game imho. 

     

    Keep the Drone, add the followers please. 

  4. I finally tried out the Drone. :)  

    It's not bad. I would rather liked to have rescued a cute girl who could assist me in the game. It would not be too hard as the Drone already has the ability to go though doors and walls. A human follower could be set up the same way.

     

    The Drone surprised me when I found that it could speak and a nearly jumped the first time she spoke. 

    I wanted to know if you can put a gun on the Drone.?

  5. I found this funny bug. Well I think it's a bug. 

    I put in a cellar door. If I open it and leave and come back the door will be closed. But if you open it will open and then slam shut. As if to say:

     

      Sure I will open for you- Just kidding! lol  

     

    Has anyone else seen this?

    Yes!! The game has its full complement of vehicles. The possibility of a raft is pretty good since they already have the model for it and now the new water simulation is in. The possibility of a helicopter is more remote. 
     

    But, truthfully, the developers are willing and indeed planning to ship this game with the vehicles we have right now.

    I saw level three after my post. Looks as if I can have as many as six plants per harvest.  I have not tried that yet. But if it works it will still be a good deal.  :)

  8. Farming at a loss.

    I have started farming again and noticed an issue. My skills in farming are: Living off the land, Forager. Despite that I am still not able to harvest seeds when I harvest my crops.  Most of the time I get four units of whatever crop I happen to farm. However, I need 5 units of that same crop to make a seed. 

    I may get a seed but most of the time I am at a loss. 

     

    Any chance you can make it so either it only takes 2 crops to make a seed or harvest a seed every time I harvest a crop please?

  9. Sound? 

    I am hoping to see more work on sound in this Alpha.  More different voices as most of them sound the same. At times it almost sounds like listening to an old song that I hear over and over.

    I would not mind different sounds by different voices and not in the same pattern. 

    Also distancing sound would be great.  

    Sometimes I will hear a zombie and it would sound like it's next to me when it is down/upstairs or farther away. 

    Other times while riding my bicycle I will pass by one and it would like it is still next to me screaming in my ear. Most likely because my camera is still passing the zombie.

  10. Today while playing I got attacked by a chicken. Really! 😁

     

    I was in the burnt forest biome and had just looted an aircraft drop and was looking at everything in my inventory. Suddenly I noticed that my whole screen jumped. Then I see this red chicken rush from right under me just as I close my inventory screen. I thought some zombies hit me and it was a chicken. 😂

     

    Natally, I rushed after it to invite it to dinner.   It was delicious! 🤗

     

  11. I really like the knife and it's ability to wound even zombies. But then I tried out a shock platoon which sometimes stuns enemies in a comical way.  Shocking! 😨

    After getting used to the game again I find that stunning and then following up my attack with a knife is really effective. 

     

    On the other hand.  Pipe shotguns are crap. They are really slow, noisy and sometimes you can't hit the broadside of a barn with them.  

    One night I fired my pipe shotgun at a dire wolf at point blank range twice.  It didn't even phase it. So I switched up with my knife, which at least hurt it. 

  12. I started a new game ofc. The game is good so far but noticed two things.

     

    1. Can not pick up stones inside of trader's area.

    2. Lighting too dark in shade. I will go out on a sunny day and walk into some shade from a tree. I feel like I have to flip on a light to see. 

    3. No wind sound in the game.  I can hear storms but not wind. I see tree's branches blowing but I don't hear the wind. Would be great to hear it.

    They can't yet and the pathing for them consciously moving through 1 meter spaces won't be in until at least A21-- and whether they can or not has no bearing on whether players can or not. The only factor is level design.

     

     

    They would have to go and redesign them taking into account the ability of the player to break a single block and crawl through anywhere.

    Ah  I see. I was under the impression that it was about too unfair to zombie's. Not making it too easy. 

     

    I thought is was about player choices. Just like Madmole was talking about.  You can break down doors but it would be better if they player followed the path through the POI's.  

     

    Are you talking about replaying a POI? I can understand not wanting to make it too easy. On the other hand if you were being pursued by a flesh-eating zombie.  Would you worry about making a full size doorway or would you try and pop through a smaller hole?  ;)

    The good news is that once zombies have the ability perhaps it can be modded onto players. That is really the only hope at this point.

    Yes but the whole idea about it being unbalanced was just because zombies could not do the same thing. Now that they can I thought that would finally change. If anything zombies now have an advantage in this respect. 

     

    I'm not understanding why they should have to go in and change all of the POI's. What would they need to do to them?

    As of last week, zombies can crouch down and crawl based on head clearance. Pathing still works on 2m heights, so we are not fully 1m yet, but crawling fixes bugs with zombies getting stuck in tight places.

    May I ask why players won't be able to do this?  We used to have it and it makes sense since the player is either breaking in or trying to get away from zombie's.

  17. Missions that upgrade the traders post would be good. Work stations, defense tower, radio, loot room even a place to spend the night.

    Rescue people would be a good quest. Having them work at the traders post would be cool. That way you have more than a trader to interact with. Maybe even some extra trading or missions on the side from these new NPC's.  

  18. I just saw the stream of Prime and Madmole talking about the quest  Restoring power to the gas station. It's nice to see a change from all the fetch quest but why restore power? 

    What would that do? Open a treasure vault?  A workshop? Setting up a colony? 

    I think it's good but not a very good end goal.
