I have. It's garbage. Do not waste points on this skill. Farming is dead in A20. Plant any seeds you find and that's it.

My boxes of food would disagree, had to make another box for finished food because I had too many stacks of raw food.  Not even harvesting my crops anymore as i have such a surplus

  2. I thought its pretty clear.  The servers aren't meant for more then 8 atm.  That doesn't mean it won't work, but its not going to be supported.  As the game is optimized and improved upon hopefully it will be able to support more but its never going to be guaranteed even if its a goal they'd like to hit.  I'm sure TFP want them to be able to support as much as possible, plus i'm sure with what they know now they'd do a lot of things in a different manner.

I'm sure some of their decisions aren't the most optimal performance wise and could have been done better knowing what they do now.  That is the nature of programming sadly.

Well you changed the crop system so now when you harvest you need a new seed for the next crop. Seed cost 5 of the type of crop you wish to produce the yield is 4 per harvest  so not accounting for luck of getting and extra one with living of the land level 2 or the 50% chance of getting your seed back it will cost you more to farm then you sow.  So farming is a game of chance if you are lucky and harvest 5 you loose nothing but effort and time if you are really lucky and this is the only way to make a profit is the 50% chance of getting your seed back.  This makes farming not sustainable and and shows what little thought you put into the game.

Clearly you the Devs have not put much thought into this and if they wanted to make it so that you have to replant after every harvest they should have made the seeds cheaper to create personally its a tedious task I would not want to do.

After watching the Devs on twitch I realized that they have no idea how to play the game or tie there own shoe laces.  Try not to lick the windows on the way home dear Devs.

Your math is bad.  Red Eagle did it already on the steam forums

    Perk level 0
    2 fruit/veg + 50% chance of seed
    Perk Level 1
    4 fruit/veg + 50% chance of seed
    Perk Level 2
    4 fruit/veg + 50% chance of seed + 50% chance of additional fruit
    Perk Level 3
    6 fruit/veg + 50% chance of seed + 50% chance of additional fruit

So with a start of 50 fruit that convert to 10 seeds.:
    WORST CASE:
    Perk Level 0
    20 Fruit + 0 seeds (worth 0fruit)+ 0 fruit = Loss 30 Fruit
    Perk Level 1
    40 Fruit + 0 seeds (worth 0fruit) + 0 fruit = Loss 10 Fruit
    Perk Level 2
    40 Fruit + 0 seeds (worth 0fruit) + 0 fruit = Loss 10 Fruit
    Perk Level 3
    60 Fruit + 0 seeds (worth 0fruit) + 0 fruit = Profit 10Fruit

    AVERAGE CASE:
    Perk Level 0
    20 Fruit + 5 seeds (worth 25 fruit) + 0 fruit = Loss 5 Fruit
    Perk Level 1
    40 Fruit + 5 seeds (worth 25 fruit) + 0 fruit = Profit 15 Fruit
    Perk Level 2
    40 Fruit + 5 seeds (worth 25 fruit) + 5 fruit = Profit 20 Fruit
    Perk Level 3
    60 Fruit + 5 seeds (worth 25 fruit) + 5 fruit = Profit 40 Fruit

    BEST CASE:
    Perk Level 0
    20 Fruit + 10 seeds (worth 50 fruit) + 0 fruit = Profit 20 Fruit
    Perk Level 1
    40 Fruit + 10 seeds (worth 50 fruit) + 0 fruit = Profit 40 Fruit
    Perk Level 2
    40 Fruit + 10 seeds (worth 50 fruit) + 10 fruit = Profit 50 Fruit
    Perk Level 3
    60 Fruit + 10 seeds (worth 50 fruit) + 10 fruit = Profit 70 Fruit

Perk level 1, On average, Will give you a profit while still being able to replant.  So on average with no points you won't profit off farming, but can still turn seeds into food.  With 1 point on average over time you profit, and that ratio increases until tier 3 guarantees every harvest is a profit.

  4. For instance if you had a zombie loot bag in the forest biome and you could move it to the wasteland biome or into a T5 POI would the loot from the bag be boosted by your modified loot stage?

Posting because of this thread on the steam forums - https://steamcommunity.com/app/251570/discussions/0/3196991938898249732/?tscn=1641134542

Although personally i don't care about min/maxing,  I am curious how the loot bags are effected if at all

It's entirely different. All the shapes are in categories now, and unified no matter what material you are building with. So if I want wedge 60, it's always in the exact same category and same position regardless of if I'm building with wood/stone/concrete/steel/cloth etc. All shapes now exist in every material and are in the exact same menu location when using a different material helper.

You can build steel tables if you want or cloth tables, we don't care. Having a powerful build system you can get creative with is better than using realism to determine what you can and can't make.

The cool thing is once you memorize the layout of where each shape is you'll never have any trouble finding it, and the categories are pretty good so even if you don't know where something is, you have a good idea on where to look.

On top of that all icons are now grey, shaded and rendered like art, similar to sketchup art. So they are very easy to read and tell what the shape is. The background of the icon has the material in it so you can tell what helper it is in your belt.

Finally you can just build with wood, stone, concrete and steel. All the upgrades in between have been deleted, and wet concrete is gone too so less clicking and just build with steel if you want. Nothing downgrades to anything either, when the hit bar is gone the block goes poof. A fairly big change, but now each tier is meaningful and it won't be 1000 clicks to go from wood to steel now.

Just out of curiosity does that come with other balance changes like reduced zombie damage to higher tier blocks or increased hp?  The change would result in the higher tier blocks losing a massive amount of durability otherwise.

  6. Even if a writer has contractual input on a movie, no big movie studio ever has given the author the right to decide when to publish the movie, or given him the means to stop it after production began and they sunk millions into the movie. (Actually there may have been very rare exceptions when the movie studio really really really wanted to do a book and the author didn't want to. But normally a movie company will buy out reluctance with more money or a percentage of the sales, but never with power to just throw out millions out of the window)

The author is never "supervisor" to the "worker" movie studio. Come on, does this sound like the movie studios you know to allow a writer to have such power over them? The author may have the power to say some event in the movie is in conflict with the lore, but he has absolutely no influence on production after the contract is signed.

Yeah, usually the author is just there as creative consultant. They don't have a say in most of it such as who is hired, and so forth.

  7. I'd rather look at it through factual eyes and not your rose colored glasses. They are dedicated to working on it if/when the game on pc goes gold. We won't get an update in all likelihood. This means I am still left with a game miles behind PC that crashes often and resets huge chunks causing me to lose sometimes a few hundred hours of work (when it hits my storage room). In all honesty, I wish they would have never made the console version tempting me with a game I had been following since the kickstarter days in hopes of eventually getting to enjoy it on console with friends. Iv enjoyed my time playing but seeing the game on sale made me think maybe we would finally get an update to fix the catastrophic md5 errors but nope. It's on sale on xbox to lure in new people so that TFP can recoup their costs but is still the severely broken game and officially we just got word that no fix is coming. I bought the game day 1 with 3 friends. Release day, using certain skins would break a world and I should have known that it would be a rough road but I never thought it would end like this. Hell even Kerbal got their ♥♥♥♥ together after a year and fixed their severely broken game on console. But at least we finally got word so its something...

Look at it thru the facts, TELLTALE sold you the broken game, not TFP who had nothing to do with the development. Telltale licensed the rights to the game and produced the version that you then bought.

Then Telltale went out of business and couldn't keep producing updates on the game.

It's like blaming a book author if a movie studio buys the rights to their movie and then makes a bad movie based off of it.

  8. Stupid question but I started with a classpaper in my starter crate. What is that used for as when I try to craft it all the crafting items are greyed out and I don't see how to unlock them

  9. Anyone know policy for content creators that lie about the game?

    This video -

They clearly modded the game or spawned in behemoths, are lying about them being in the game to get views and spreading false information.

I posted clearing it up but it gives streamers a bad name and spreads misinformation on the forums. Many people believe they are in the game now and its very confusing.

  10. So trying it out and really love it, the only question I have is the start seems a bit unbalanced with zombies always on you, but it could very well just be an adjustment on my part. Typically when I spawn in I have zombies chasing me before i've even crafted my class selection.

How do other people start off in the mod strategy wise.
