  1. Haven't played since A16. Jumped straight into 5.4.9. Singleplayer. It started perfectly. But after I loaded the game once, game randomly crashes when I open inventory. And it can happen anywhere: when I craft, loot, or just open inventory to sort stuff.. It's kinda unplayable, cos it happens 4-5 times in one in-game day. Checked in another world, same issue. Everything is perfect after world creation, played almost 1 in-game week. But after I loaded - crashes. Anybody has any idea how to fix this? Also I have a suggestion for A17+. I think game no longer punishes you for deaths. Actually, you can restore health/thrist/etc by dieing, which can be very beneficial in certain situation, which is awkward. I know it affects GS, so if you want harder challenges and better loot, you don't want to die. But still, no penalties for dieing several times in a row, no wellness loss like in previous version. So my suggestion is adding long-term penalty when you die. XP loss, skill loss, heavy durability loss, certaion debuff, which you need to "work out" by gaining XP. Just something, that throws away this phrase from mind: "if I die, I don't care".
  2. Just bath every other day and you will never get it. At least it works for me last 20+ days.
  3. Water is much harder to find compared to vanilla, but almost always possible if you spend 1 day to this task. 1) Look for caves: small black areas on the map. Caves are quite hard to find on sight, they can be hidden in bushes, behind the rocks etc., but it's very easy to find them if you open the map. 2) Water tanks in plains biome can be seen very far, even from other biome. Each one has water puddle under them. 3) Blueberry bushes always have water near them. 4) Some (bigger) houses and certain POIs have bathrooms with water. 5) If you are in early game and very desperate for water to drink, you can dig snow in snow biome and melt it at campfire. It is also possible to find something bigger, lakes for example. But they are very rare. Several days ago I found turtles in some random lake They are beautiful. And pretty sure I haven't discovered everything yet.
  4. Just for info, I have no issues with zombies spawning in Single Player and I have desert biome (had it in both 4.0.0 and 4.0.2). Single Player version seems fine.
  5. I found Mayonnaise and Ground Pepper, but there are no recipes that I can craft from that. Am I missing something?
  6. So excited. Love all the changes. May be except breaking at 0 durability, but will see how it will work with new repair kits.
  7. I believe they do have meaning, they are tied to night terrors that spawned near you. Each terror has different sound. Just sometimes it's hard to find them, they move randomly and can walk away from you.
  8. I had same problem with wrench. Couldn't build advanced workbench. Looted many houses with no luck. But once I got level 40, I found 2 wrenches in some supermarket or pet shop. It had 3 old sinks, 2 of them got a wrench each. I wonder if type of POI increases loot in loot containers? May be it's just me, but for example, I find much better loot in gun safes in "special buildings" like fire station rather than in gun safes in houses and ruins.
  9. Oops. I didn't know that you can regain seeds with any class with just a hoe.. It was very interesting to play on self-found food and meat. You actually start to value fullness, long 5 min+ grill recipes, looting restaurants for food and shamway boxes. It was fun, while it lasted.. Imo only farmer class should have the ability to regain seeds. But it is just my opinion. Edit: one solution to this would be make hoes craftable and repairable only by farmer.
  10. @Oragepoilu You are saying, that ALL food is unbalanced, because you have all ingredients available as farmer. You already at the point of infinite food. If you started as other class and won't have farmer friend you would have completely different opinion. Food is well balanced according to effort/reward. Some recipes offer high fullness, but no wellness (from drying rack for ex, 10 fullness for 1 meat or something), some recipes as you mentioned offer high wellness (which is your target as farmer, but there are other ppl!), some recipes give health, but no wellness (creamed corn, etc), some recipes take alot of time, but quite efficient with balanced stats and average wellness ratio, etc. My point is, when you are limited on food and don't have infinite supply as farmer, you have a choose. Put this 2 onions I found for beer chicken for high fullness and average wellness, or toss it in salad for 4x less fullness, but high wellness. Boil this corn for wellness or make some cream for health. And it's interesting. You just picked farmer class that completely avoids this gameplay. Try to play without farmer and you will discover something new. There are just few recipes that are off and break this immersion. Which I mentioned earler, boiled meat, grilled chicken (which completely losses to becon and you can't make anything from grilled chicken) and grilled steak.
  11. I could disagree about requirement, especially on lower levels, cos you need to invest time and resources, which you could spend on something else, more useful. But ok, let's say requirement doesn't count. At this stage you will already have like 100 glass jars or more. Let's compare, how do you fill 80 fullness with BM and B/GC. For BM you need 20 meat and 20 water. For B/GC you need 40 meat. Don't you think that getting 20 water is much faster at this stage then 20 meat? You can click glass jars 1 time and you will get 100 water or more (which you will click anyway, cos you need to keep hydration up). And prepairing water takes about same time as slicing meat at prep table. But for 20 meat you need to find and kill at least 3 animals. There is no sane man who will go for becon or grilled chicken/stake over boiled meat. And boiled meat is the very first food craft that will unlock after charred meat. I just feel no progress for crafting all these food stations and reading books, cos they give you less efficient recipes. That's what I call unbalanced. I'm talking only about basic meat recipes. I know, there are other complex recipes at these stations, which are more rewarding. But if you don't have farmer class (which is the only one, who can repopulate seeds), most of the time you just rely on meat.
  12. @JaxTeller718 Love the mod. Thanks for keeping updates running. Here is my input. Basic meat food recipes are not balanced at all. Boiled meat is super OP once u find water source. Survivalist's grilled chicken and steak are very underpowered even compared to basic Becon. Here is some data. Lets name 2x Boiled Meat (2BM), 2x Bacon (2B) and Grilled Chicken (GC). Ingredients: 2BM: 2x white meat, 2x water (you get glass jars back when u eat it); 2B: 4x white sliced meat (made from 2x white meat); GC: 4x white sliced meat (made from 2x white meat); Requirement: 2BM: Advanced campfire, water source. 2B: Advanced campfire, Prep table (butcher knife); GC: Book with this recipe, Prep table (butcher knife), Barbeque Grill (Survival Class, Self Sufficient skill, Advanced forge); (!) Restore: 2BM: +8 fullness +0.16 wellness; 2B: +4 fullness +0.08 wellness; GC: +4 fullness +0.07 wellness; So same meat input, but the higher the requirement, the poorer the result. I consider finding water source as easiest requirement (usually found on day 1-3). And you don't spend glass jars when you eat boiling meat, so there is nothing to worry about.
  13. Is getting glass jar after consuming boiled meat considered a bug? Everything else boiled don't give glass jar back. And boiled meat is very efficient, especially compared to grilled meat.
