  1. Well I works, thank you. I get a probability of 8-9 /eggs out 10 nests, rather than 2-3/ out of 10 nests. I could not find a link in you post, so I copied a modlet I had and renamed it to "More Eggs" and copied your text into the config.xml. You really should publish it. Its in no way an overbalancing mod, it just a small bit more convenient. There is nothing more irritating than find 6 nests in a row with no eggs.
  2. I mainly use it to spot traders but also to find a perfect spot for an end base - meaning flattest terrain, closest to most biomes and for convenient main roads in and out.
  3. OK, so how did he get there? Maybe he was drunk and passed out and another survivor stole his clothes. You are right about playing SP the way you want, but I still feel some guilt from looking at the map preview in Chrome.
  4. Well it may seem like cheating buy if you think about it, these facts pop up. 1) The player ends up in a location that may seem random, but if he was there, it may have been his home town. So he would know the area anyway. 2) If he know the area already he should know a few of the stores and buildings in the area already like the skyscrapers, the larger POIs as well as the paths and roads to get there. 3) He may know a place to get a map of the area or may have one already. So I would not call it cheating (or shameless cheating) that the player knows the area he is in, and therefore using the map viewer is like going to a Pass N Gas station and picking up the latest map. I mean, I don't go out much but I at least know where most locations in my area are and at least the locations of 10 different gas stations to get a map.
  5. I think I made up my mind on a few: 1) J. R. R. Tolkien, all content but with Peter Jackson mainly - he would have made J. R. R. Tolkien very proud, in my mind. 2) Maybe Red Dwarf, Maybe. 3) Possibly Monster Magnet or the Cure - Monster Magnet for the diversity in their songs and The Cure for their perfect melancholy / hopeless romantic thing they have going. 4) Still 7 Days to Die.
  6. Well the modlet to change the chanced of egg droppings would be nice. Can you send me a link? I searched for nests and I believe a for eggs, but could not find one. I f you could come up with a code to edit I would be grateful. I am coding and scripting illiterate and cannot really do anything without complete instructions.
  7. So I have loot re-spawn very 20 days which is really not necessary and the items do not re-spawn anyway for some reason. The settings started it at 3 days automatically so i went with 20 days, to be a little fairer. However the birds nest eggs re-spawn make sense in the real world as birds are always laying new eggs occasionally during their life. So is there a mod (modlet) to have bird nests re-spawn feathers and eggs occasionally (outside of the built in loot re-spawn in the settings)? Say randomly every 10 days or so?

  9. You do not need to overthink it, just what of 4 things that most people love would you pick if you had to pick one. Maybe on a space station for 10 years, and had to pick your favorite favorites to take along.
  10. How about the Beachboys then. You must know something about BOC with the Ö you typed, either that or the lyrics of "The Subhuman" came to mind and then you would really know the band. Most people only think "Don't Fear the Reaper" or "Burning for You", not typically "The Subhuman", which was amazing live on the "On Your Feet or On Your Knees" live album.
  11. Blue Oyster Cult eh. You must be around my age and looking at Senior discounts about now. I could live with that, "Blue Oyster Cult" 1972 to "The Revölution by Night" 1983. The others can just be album filler to balance the playlist.
  12. 1) What Movie (including all sequels)? 2) TV Show (complete series)? 3) CD discography of certain band? 4) Video Game, including all mods and all patches and releases (computer and console)? 1,2 and 3 would take too much thinking for me. 4) would be 7 days (including the previous alphas that are still available and all mods available) It is simply too playable after a year or two from it. Last time I played it was 2020 and I waited for a stable A20 and I am really addicted again. There is too much customization to choose from. I sound like a fanboy I know. Also try not too take the idea of having unlimited electricity on a deserted island too seriously.
  13. Yeah, the double walls are meant for the demolisher, and really nothing else. The platform of my end base will be also two thick down concrete of which is really only needed to keep the demolsher from making tunnels under the base - which I hate - and taking apart the foundation as well of my center of operations (where all my stuff is). I always have catwalks around the base, two in each corner and one in the middle, that stick out 5 blocks or more two get a look at where they are on the outside of the walls, but yeah they are not easy to shoot when they have made a hole one block in on a two wall base. Then you have to have good aim or use exploding crossbow bolts and/or molitovs in the hole they made. Here is the way I use catwalks to see what they are doing:
  14. Unless you have a high wall. If you don't they will also go over the wall by stepping on each others shoulders, but in that case they are easy to snipe head shots as they poke their heads over a 3 high wall. Also, I meant 2 "thick" / five "high" steel walls not 2 "high" walls, that would not work do to their hopping on each others shoulder to easily and over the wall . I always have 3 high walls to start my temp base. And yes, I do exploit their degree in engineering (finding a block that has 1 HP less than another one right next to it) by leaving 2 lesser material blocks 2 high, to have easy paths for me to defend myself, and guilt free I might add.

The thing I was hoping for, was for the zeds to be drawn to the door instead of the walls, but I had no idea two steel blocks is 20,000, I thought it was 7,000 x 2 and being at the same 14,000 that the door was. My plan was 2 steel block walls and then the roll up door, as I would have a trap door behind two steel walls that I did not want the them getting to. Thank you for replying.
  16. What are are HP of them? I've seen a video on youtube that has them at 14,000 HP, that's twice that of steel blocks. If so why not make your base out of them, and then whats the point of steel walls now?
  17. Thanks to both of you. I tried the light mod and the console had some red error messages, and I cannot read the text because it is too small. So I just restored a saved folder and got it back to normal. The folder that the mod comes in, is full of unity assets and other junk I do not understand, so it is most likely not a simple modlet, and I am coding and script illiterate so I am not going to attempt to use it. Well I should pay more attention. All I had to do was turn off EAC on the launcher and now it works.
  18. I have a couple of question for electrical lighting I. Can I change the color of the light? I am sure this was not possible in A19. II. Can you make a blinking light? For, say a gyrocopter landing pad at night. Thank you.
  19. I guess I am used to polygon level design which this kind of thing was possible. Source Engine Hammer Editor, Thief 3 Edit (Unreal Engine) and The Dark Mod (Doom 3 Engine) are level editors that allowed textures to be blended easily. Besides, the time necessary to make a road is a bit ridiculous anyway, so it is a small blessing I cannot do it. Thank you for your reply.
  20. My other post did not get a reply so I decided to reword it, possibly the original topic might have been confusing. So, how can I have a blended block texture? I am thinking if making asfault road between 2 trader where one does not exist and I would need to have at least a 45 degree blended block to make a turn in the road else it will look pretty lame. I am good enough with photoshop to blend 2 textures (bitmap or DDS) with transparent layers. The problem is I cannot find the textures I need in the game data folder.
  21. If someone is kind enough to answer, I would like to know the following. Is the 4x truck insulated for traveling through hot and cold biomes? The motorcycle never had this and I think I saw something in the info section of the truck. At what gamestage does the demolisher comes in? That about all I can think of for now.
  22. Just plan weird. Does anyone still love the game? I started a new game 6 times since Alpha 17, I cannot say that about the multiple hundreds of games I played since 1988. Thief 1 & 2 F.E.A.R. First encounter Assault recon Half Life 2 Are runners up. I think for me its the gathering materials to build a massive base. Without base building I would not plays it.
  23. From A17 On I miss: log spikes checking remains of zombies for loot getting better items by combining them old mining (harder mining) techniques Boulders giving more resources like ore and nitrate better farming That's all I can think of, however the good things are too long to list.
  24. I finished A19 and Its installed as A20, and I am addicted to the game again, making this the only game I can replay again and again. Thank you Fun Pimps.
