  1. @unlike them-

That's what I meant saying "changing" - repairing it.

    "he hates bikes"

Well, we have that in common with spider!

I don't hate the concept of bikes, but just the way it works within the game engine. Just riding it feels laggy and not working properly. The very first time I used a bike I thought something is wrong with my computer - that's how bad it is.

But it's the only way to travel long distances fast, so I guess we have to deal with it)

  2. Well, that update didn't help my character. I had to cancel "overstuffed" every 5 minutes or so. Using any item which gives wellness gave me "overstuffed" too, immediately.

It seems my character has to die for a clean test)

edit: alright, suicide commited. It is funny how many times I killed myself. Moreover, all my deaths are suicides)) Let's see how it goes from here...

Also, does anyone else experience their minibikes engines break instantly after running over a zombie or a steep hill? Changed my minibike engine about 20 times already. Maybe I need to be more careful.

  3. @spider-

I'm sorry to bother you again with "overstuffed" buff issue I have. Last time you said to get rid of it I need to cancel the hidden "stuffed" buff, as it is causing the overstuffed buff to appear. Typing "debuff stuffed" in the console doesn't do anything, it says there's no "stuffed" buff. Could you please tell me how to cancel the stuffed buff?

  4. The ore distribution is vanilla, I had my nitrate in snow biome, coal in plains, oil shale in desert. I look near the bedrock.

Noice! Thank you for the info!

  5. I dont think there is any on the surface but according to the biomes.xml file there is some under the gravel thats under the snow. So dig down 4 blocks of snow, then 1 of gravel, then your chance of hitting nitrate starts. I'd say its less tedious just heading to another biome though, or otherwise I just bust small boulders and get all I need that way.

I do not get any ores, except zinc, by smashing boulders.

  6. I have a gameplay question guys.

Is it possible to find nitrate powder in snow biome veins? I understand there's a random generation for ores, but I also have seen gravel veins having a particular ore in it (default ore generation working in this mod?).

Looking for caves just to find a little bit of nitrate powder is tedious and not very rewarding.

  7. So i just started a new game using the recommended settings. When I connected to the server I spawned next to a factory. I walk down to it and there is a lorry prefab next to it so I investigate while making my stone axe.

Inside I find an auger blueprint, a BikeInABox, 507 qual rechargable battery, 417 qual nailgun magazine and a tool and die set.

Is this normal with this mod or am I super lucky?

    http://pasteboard.co/l8ShfClWX.png

This is absolutely normal. You anyway can't do much with that loot in early game. Finding the tool and die set is lucky though))

Minibike is not a lategame item in this mod. Nailguns are quite common to find in building/working crates too.

When I started my game with this mod I found so many cool prefabs with forges (one with 7 forges in it), bunkers made of reinforced concrete, lost my motivation to build my own base a bit.

  8. Ok been working on the weapons here's what we got so far.

    Melee

    11 Blunt Weapons

    7 Knives

    6 Long Bladed Weapons

    2 Fighting Axes

    4 Spears

    Ranged

    2 Bows

    2 Crossbows

    10 Pistols

    6 Shotguns

    19 Rifles

    3 Rocket Launchers

Each has its own 3d Mesh, recipe and stats. Ill be posting a spreadsheet with the stats for people to look over once its done.

So wow! Impressed! More means to level zombies to the ground!

Can't wait to get my hands on those "long bladed weapons" and "fighting axes"!

Those gonna have some extreme dismemberment chance :3

  9. @RomRomRya-

Ya changing the time in a current game really messes stuff up I would not suggest doing that . It will mess up the Horde timing and buffs timing.I know of the problem and its already fixed in the next version. I am switching all buff to go off real time instead of game time so the Day Length Setting wont bother buffs anymore. As for removing it using the console, you removed the wrong buff. The Overstuffed buff is just the effect not the cause. If you want to remove it via console remove the hidden "stuffed" buff. That's what causes the Overstuffed de buff.

Also with the new ability to Examine a block to learn how to make it how do we want to do this? If you walk up to a brick ramp and examine it should you just learn that one brick ramp block or should you learn all brick blocks?

Thanks Spider! Nice to know this problem is fixed in the next version.

As for the ability to examine I think character should learn all shapes of the block at once.

  10. Okay, I got that overStuffed problem again. I understand you, Spider, when you say with 120min days buffs last twice as long (cause many of them have their duration in in-game hours).

The problem is the overstuffed buff appears and it never disappears at all, only dying helps (which is, well, an option to get rid of it, but not a very good one).

I tried to switch my game to 10min days and wait three days, it didn't help. Using a console command "debuff overStuffed" removes it permanently, as it should do. But in a few mins after it overstuffed appears again (no food, drinks or any other items raising wellness used after entering the console command).

Why does it happen to me? I do not use wellness gain exploits nor aware of any. Looks like a bug, don't tell me it's a feature, please)))

  11. I've discovered there is a distance, where your bow can still hit the dear, but far enough so he doesn't even start running away.

I can confirm that. There's that distance. And it is not that long. I used that feature to kill deer in my early-game days)

  12. Anyone else having a hard time hunting food? I've noticed 2 problems. First is that I'll hit the target with an arrow it starts off running and then it just vanishes before my eyes. The other problem is that deer and pig either have 2 many hit points or are just plain immortal. I came across a really stupid pig that was stick in the corner of a fenced in area. I started stabbing the hell out of it with an iron spear, went from 100% to almost broken. Pig never died and as I was repairing the spear he vanished.

I've never faced any of these problems. Hunting is a no problem at all. Crouch silently to the best position to shoot from, aim for the head !POOF! you have your meal :)

Deer and pigs can withstand a great ammount of punishment if you're not hitting the head.

  13. Yeah, I like 5 and 10% for cop and soldier respectively.

    @Dragons Nest-

Spider said, he can't specify damage type. He can add only overall entity damage.

All you need to kill a deer is a one headshot :3

It's useless to shoot a body. It seems animals share the zombie headshot mechanic.

Holy father of satan, how many arrows I wasted figuring this out...

But now if I happen to see a deer or a pig - it is dead, no doubts. All you need is to find a good spot to snipe it from.

With this mod hunting has become a whole ritual for me. I feel myself a native american hunter while I am pursuing my prey)

  14. @unlike them-

Fair enough. You have the point.

As for the triple harvest idea, I can never have too much stuff to work with. If it is possible then I'll squeeze it to its maximum! I love to build bigger than I'll ever need :3

  15. @Spider-

Maybe you could go even further with cop and soldier and specialize their entity damage bonuses. Like if you start with a cop you get a +5% entity damage bonus to blunt weapons, pistols and shotguns? +10% blade weapons and rifles damage for soldier? In the same line with little profession skill bonuses you want those professions to get.

Somewhy I completely forgot you can learn other professions. If learning other professions will apply its bonuses to the character it can lead to a pretty overpowered character in the lategame. So I don't think you need to make learning other professions easier than it is right now.

If you got lucky and learned Carpenter and electrician you'll get a triple harvest count? It feels OP even thinking about it.

  16. Wow, I really do like new professions you're making Spider! Once the new version is out I will struggle to choose a right profession for my character - they all seem so awesome!

However, cop and soldier profession bonuses seem a bit off to me. Maybe add some entity damage bonus for them? A bit more melee damage or head damage increase maybe?

  17. @unlike them-

Could you please enlighen me about that certain console command? Want to try it to cancel the debuff if it will appear again (I'm sure it will).

  18. @spider

I am playing 120 min days. Was running around forest/pine forest biomes mostly. Random generation world, of course.

What does biome type have to do with this debuff?

I replied earlier, but you probably missed my post. Should place an avatar to make myself more visible :3

Ok, I decided to suicide using my base defence spikes. Dying helped this issue, obviously. Lol, kind of a funny death for the first death playing with a hardcore mod.

  19. @Spider-

I am playing random generation world with 120 min days.

Mostly was running around in forest/pine forest and desert. Is there some specific biome which causes "overstuffed" to persist infinitely?

  20. So, after playing this mod for a while I faced a huge problem with "overstuffed" debuff. Can someone explain me its mechanics? Even though my character is close to starvation this debuff still persists. Seriously, I was running around for about 3 in-game days "overstuffed" all the time. The debuff doens't seem to go away. Was eating charred meat only (as it is really easy to get early on). Previously on this thread I saw an information that you need to eat at least 100 charred meat during 1 in-game hour to get this debuff (maybe I am mistaken). I got this debuff after just 3 pieces of meat. Does the world time settings affect this somehow? In my savegame I am using 120 min setting.
