    Unity has backed off a bit and now claims they will magically somehow figure out what is a reinstall versus what is a new install, but anyone with any technical knowledge knows they can't guarantee that, ESPECIALLY while also not tracking individual users as they claim they will not. Further, no matter what magic they say they're going to implement with this, someone will find a way to spoof installs and bomb gamedevs with install charges.

    I think they figure that as long as they manage to get the really big customers (like certain gacha games I won't name) to go along with it they'll make so much money it won't matter if every small dev drops them and/or goes bankrupt.

    Or go bankrupt from a few disgruntled users setting up continuous re-installs.

    Seems to be real, making it into sources like RPS and The Guardian. How is TFP going to deal with this?
