"server ended the connection to the client" occurs when trying to join somebody elses game or server

KR11N posted a record in Not a Bug

after loading into the game and attempting to join a server or a friends world the game will load for a while a bit after you start to hear the game audio (but still in loading screen) the game gives the disconnect error "server ended the connection to the client" this issue persists after MANY "solutions" posted online and also happens to somebody I know on a separate machine.
