Those are what I used to add servers to my favorites list. That is why I wasn't sure what Old Crow was referring to.

Those are servers that I have favorited recently and they have stayed.

I think the only time they disappear for me is if I start up a different version of game I have on computer and go to favorites.

Am thinking all the games I have set up use the same folders for some of the options, like generated worlds etc.

But other than that I thought favorites worked fine.

Yes, they work absolutely fine. That has never been removed for "some reason". The question was rhetorical :)

If it's a server you favorited before, it stays. But you can't fave new ones. They removed that function in A20 for some reason.

What exactly are those stars in front of a server for?

Asking for someone, that appearantly has not used that existing functionality for years and now spreads incorrect information on a forum.

Im 100% sure that game does not respect player playstyle and time. Because many sandbox options are mostly irrelevant since the developers force the player to follow one path. And it's a maximally unworth system even worse than annoying tutorials. Need water? You MUST buy a filter from a merchant. You want solar power? You MUST buy a solar panel along with cells from a merchant.

For the most part, some items cannot be find and forced to be bought from merchants. If I could I'd disable their spawning altogether, but forcing players to use a merchant is a nasty thing to do and it completely ruins the nomad style of play. You decided to make your own decision to solve the problems? Because it's a sandbox game? We'll make sure they don't work. Because you have to find a "thought out our way". It's very strange to play such a closed sandbox game where 1/3 gives you free rein to solve different types of problems.

I personally hate the standard leveling system where a player has to spend an unthinkable amount of time in solo to

    1. Leveling up
    2. Finding magazines

    1. For having no other sources of experience other than passive gaining
    2. Finding up to 177 on skills and 1920 on crafting. (Plus there will always be copies you can't trade for others. Good luck.)

Coupled with the unfinished mechanics of the game, it feels like a game that just came out yesterday. I don't see what the developers took so long to do other than assets, RWG, graphics, and stability. Everything else is very raw and needs total rework. At least for the sake of the players, because the game is played to enjoy and not to frustrate because of - for idiotic rules. The main basis of any game is fun, I see in this game only misery and doom. And it would be good if it worked like Project Zomboid. But I feel it because of underbaced mechanics that completely ruin immersiveness and logic in the most ordinary things.

Its still not coped with mentally?

We get it. You hate absolutely everything about the game. You hate the devs. You hate the version convention. You hate mods. You hate the way of commucation around the game. Heck you probably hate everything. Why on earth are you here? Uninstall this abomination and move on.

    Hi!

I saw a news story that said that TFP was not going to update the console version due to changes in the hardware, making console players have to pay for the game again, when on PC it is not necessary. I was going to correct them about the real reason but looking at the FAQ I saw the following text:

Wasn't the main reason a rights problem with Telltale? I ask because people were complaining about that, even though they were going to give a discount.
If you said about telltale, people would be more understanding. I don't understand why say something about the hardware.

    Is this you, pApA^LeGBa?

I honestly don't think its going to do that well, I mean the sound of it alone already has me pretty unintersted and I love 7dtd. That and TFP doesn't have the best rep with players anymore due to many poor decisions on the direction of the base 7dtd game. I know I for one will be very hesitant to touch another game TFP makes again due to what i've seen here in this one.

Feeling big huh? So its not going to do well because YOU have certain feelings and need some weight so you project it (again) to a "large" made up group which totally agrees with you, right? Category lame in my book. And a non-argument.

  6. So...how do YOU know half the playerbase mods it out? Making up stuff doesn't count as argument. But nice try. The vocal minority and their alt account are still just that. A very small portion of the same few people that keep starting threads and convos. You have only your detest of this system. Keep whining about it all you like but stop making stuff up to make a point. It's embarrassing.

We all *feel* its waste of time

No you "all" dont. You speak for yourself and i speak for me.  Not speak on behalf of a non existing invisible crowd to make a point. INT is cool for me, period.

  8. Baton has a 10% chance of instant kill with the right perks. And having 2 turrets up while waking a room in a POI is a fun way to play. INT in my favorite build in A21.

One could even say its OP nowadays. But still very fun and powerfull.

Players been doing that for awhile now, even before A21

Get infected, look 5 minutes for a cure, kill themselves to not have to deal with it

break a leg, don’t want to be slow, kill themselves

Gorge on food even when full, run out of food, kill themselves when they starve

Play a survival game, don’t want to deal with survival elements, kill themselves to not deal with it

The issue is not game mechanics, it’s players not wanting to have to deal with them

at this point, they should be honest with themselves and just mod out anything remotely associated with survival

Way easier to just go and play minecraft.

    Greetings,

Viruses can’t be alive out of an host for more than 48h. One week at max maybe… (Google: virus half-life).

According to that point, since there are no fishes or living beings in the water there should be no viruses in the water. Maybe if there were plants in rivers / lake there could be viruses in the water… (Assuming zombie animals won’t need to drink water at all and contaminate it)…

Viruses in snow, ok… but how did ALL the snow got contaminated? Only a very small % of infection should be found in water made from snow (snow > murky water) and even then, water molecules aligning in frozen water would form small ice shard which most likely would break bigger particles like viruses protein’s cage (capsid) or even its DNA/RNA after enough time in the snow biome (below 0 degree celsius)… Maybe there could be a sign / poster that says “Don’t eat the yellow snow”! (Frank Zappa song).

Maybe bacterias living from plants could be the vector here? Or mushrooms / mycorrhiza.

Anyway, just came here to add that water from lake or river should be drinkable since glass jar are out. Makes no sense to have the head mod that allows to purify water, but not being able to drink from lake… Players have so much freedom in the game, but can’t drink straight from lake/rivers altought we can swim in them and have O2 gauge? ô.0

Makes no sense that players make guide on Steam suggesting to kill your character in order to reset food/water stats in early game…

So many complaints / meme about water jar can only make a point. Its not too late to bring them back before christmas!

But, you CAN drink directly from a water source. So there is that.

    Greetings,

The game has a flaw on online servers. Other players can place a land claim block (LCB) into a building used for a quest and the quest cant be started when arriving at the area and clicking the yellow triangle and/or the LCB prevent to break the building walls to retrieve the stash.

Some people can be so nice on sandbox games…

    B

If a server owner allows players to use pois as base, that should be the case. If they dont allow, there are servermanagers that prevent placing beds/lcb's in (quest)pois.

If its allowed, you just have to cancel the quest. Unless you want to be "nice" and mess up a players base.

The wasteland king used to be one of the duke's lieutenants, know for his sadistic methods and violent nature he gained a small following among the dukes crew and later challenged his authority to end up scaping with a small group of people to settle his own base and take over part of the territory making life miserable for survivors and traders and constantly fighting the duke for power. ( at least in my head that is the background story of the image ) lol
