  1. I am poll voter 103 (the 46.79%). Seems clear so far, what people preferred - LBD. If it's not broken, there's no need to fix it, but it got fixed repeatedly.
  2. The Fun Pimps won't see another cent from me so long as the company is in operation. It is a nice day. I can spend my money on a company that deserves and earns the financial support they get. It's taken The Fun Pimps so long to finish this game and make up their minds what they want the end product to be, it's not encouraging to support any future product(s) from The Fun Pimps. Another lost future customer to add to the pile. Consequences of bad decisions are real. I speak with my wallet as many others will in the future when it comes to The Fun Pimps products. You guys refuse to listen to the entirety of the community when it comes to game input so, I speak with my wallet since you guys don't really appreciate the feedback many of us out here give. You have a bias toward the company, game and that's just how it is. In a bias situation, there's no room allowed for constructive feedback. We give it, but you guys only take in what you want to see and hear.
  3. Pushing buttons? Wow. OK. So I best speak how you want me to speak I guess. I followed the rules or so I thought, but clearly I have broken them according to your statement. I must do what you say I must do or else. It's clear. Says you. You know it all. Well, maybe y'all should fix your forum, modernise and streamline it better so it's not a pile of archaic dog poo design. Uhuh. If you say so. Been hearing this crap for years. Just another pattern. "I haven't seen anything better so this is the best!" A personal opinion. Nothing more. Means nothing. i could use examples, but it wouldn't matter anyways because you have your mind set already and nothing will change it. But your opinion is paramount, right? Yet another pattern. Stop right there. They are not the only ones in the world who have made a fully destructable voxel game. That is a straight up lie that can be proven wrong just with Minecraft alone. Fanatical defence patterns are no stranger to this community either. You just proved that. No anger from me. Just having a conversation. Just because some people are straight shooters and don't beat around bushes doesn't mean there's anger in the discussion. Now if you said there was lots of passive trolling, insults and belittlement and teaming to do so, I would tend to agree. It doesn't matter to you because it hasn't happened to you. Talk is cheap and your talk is cheaper than a 1 cent candy. Don't like the words? Your problem. Fans are fans. Sorry. That's just how it works. When someone loves something a lot they are a fanatic or fan of it. Calling someone a fanatic isn't an insult or rude at all. It's a descriptive word to describe a level of like someone has for something. Some could say I'm a fanatic of games. Do I see it as an insult? Of course not. How you choose to perceive the meaning of words is on you. If you choose to take offence, that's on you. I care nothing about nickname jokes. They redone a lot of things too many times that's true. But animations looks good To you maybe. Some people have lower standards than others when it comes to how things look whether it be in video games or outside of video gaming. You forgot the parts where they modify the game to stop people from playing how they want to. They've repeated this mistake to only push some players away. They see someone playing in a way they don't like and they waste time 'fixing' it thus slowing down the overall progressive development of the game itself. Wasting time - one big pattern TFP have never gotten over. Sure, it's fine if you're the one doing it with no risks since you're basically forum god. We out here have to watch what we say. You can say and do anything you want here. Roland, you don't get it and you likely never will. You're so off the mark it's crazy. I'm not being aggressive. Maybe that's just your interpretation. Maybe you're taking everything too personal and are assuming there is aggression. I assure you there's no aggression. I just cut to the chase. Some people can't appreciate that and expect candies, rainbows and sunshine rays to shower down upon them so they don't become offended. This is a pattern most of the PR and you perpetuate. Don't like someone? Create a narrative, a situation, stir the pot and get rid of who you don't want around. It's what happened on Steam and it's a pattern that's visible in the board history. Assumptions, assumptions and more assumptions. History repeats. Patterns. If you must know, that wasn't the reason I came here. I came here to be involved. Should I get !$!#$ed off? That is your opinion. You might think you don't, but you do. I didn't go off topic. I simply explained my situation on Steam as a pattern that can be lumped in with the bad patterns Reach Gaming was discussing. Some people didn't like that. Not my fault. Jokes aren't a problem. The problem is how you went about it with the current situation and circumstances. Sometimes jokes are in good taste in the right situations. Sometimes they are not. Your truth. Honestly, it really doesn't matter what anyone says out here it'll be met with the same defensive responses all TFP reps give. X person is wrong and we are right. TFP are always right. We never falter or make mistakes. TFP are perfect. We have nothing to learn because we know it all. Our truth is above the highest enlightenment. Reach Gaming's points are right and the patterns are real. You don't want to see the validity in his views and want or expect all us out here to believe a context and narrative you want people to believe. Of course Schwanz9000 replied to Reach Gaming. Can't have that kind of negative truth without some sort of defence. I also see people asked questions and were ignored. Is this strange this happens? No. It's a pattern.
  4. Sarcastic arrogance. Expected. Historical patterns repeat themselves. I tried there. What makes you think anything is going to be different over here? I mean, you make jokes about my nickname so what makes you think I'm going to take you seriously enough to engage you in a discussion when you do that? You just make me not want to talk to you more and more when you act like that. This is why a lot of us out here don't say much because with this attitude you already have, it's highly probable that you're itching to use that vulgar display of power. Again, you're trying to push buttons. So what if I want to discuss that here to contrast what Reach Gaming is trying to say. It's relevant and on point. This pattern (especially the one you're doing now) is one among the many bad patterns TFP has adopted. It never used to be like this in the early days of TFP, but things changed over the years. Sarcasm, arrogance, ignorance, etc. Many patterns of which are not good traits of a supposed to be professional company. This is a bad pattern that fits right in with what Reach Gaming discussed. Good to know. Maybe you should try talking about what's being discussed instead of being a petty individual seeking to push buttons and p*ss off your community members. But that's the pattern - act childish and make up nicknames that you figure a person should have called themselves, while at the same time hoping others will jump on board with your public shaming attempts. Bad patterns, Roland. Bad patterns. Yeah, you don't think too much, Roland. had you actually paid attention to what I said, you would have a pretty good idea why you didn't get the responses you expected. If you used your cognitive abilities, you would know that I tried, but because your guys' POS forum is such a mess, I didn't have the ambition to retype what I tried to type in the first place. It's your guys' job to have a reliable website so maybe you should talk to the web dev guys. If your guys' website wasn't such a POS mess, you would have gotten the responses you sought, but I'm not going to type that stuff all over again for it to be sent to limbo and not actually get posted. This has happened several times. Besides, the dumb down of the game subject isn't even what this discussion was about in the first place. This wouldn't be allowed on Steam (historical proof exists). Reach Gaming discussed how the game changes, reverts, changes, reverts - and it seems like TFP can't make up their mind what they want the game to do or be. You're not can't get anywhere if y'all can't make up your minds. Thus why this game is still in development after almost an entire decade and still there is no end in sight. "It'll be done when it's done." is all we get year after year. Reach Gaming is right. The pattern of do, undo, redo, undo, remake, rework, redo and rinse repeat is all too common with TFP. Also as he said, the game is janky and weird. Animations are goofy, clunky, etc. Just an example among many that can be explained. That's been yet another pattern that's gone on for almost a decade now. They get better, then worse, then better and worse and the cycle continues. After almost ten entire years, y'all can't flesh that stuff out? Really? I've seen better animations from indie devs with smaller teams so there's no excuse for things to be so janky at this stage of development of 7DTD. Problem here is you don't want to accept and admit that the company and game have both followed some pretty bad patterns during development and many mistakes keep getting repeated and that it's a repetitious company pattern. Reach Gaming hit home is what the real problem is and TFP won't or don't want to accept the truth. More humility and less self centred pride would be much more welcomed by the community, but this is a pattern TFP have adopted. TFP has gotten comfortable with putting pride before humility. Reach Gaming - spot on, nailed it, but TFP doesn't want to face the truth and accept it, publicly. Honesty is a lot more respect worthy and welcomed than ignorant / arrogant pride.
  5. It was tried on Steam and the same result occurs that occurs here. You challenge us, but if we take the challenge and point out negatives, you negate the negative criticism or feedback by trying to issue counter arguments, dodging what the person is trying to say by overflowing it with regurgitated defences that have no substance after an entire decade of being regurgitated by TFP and their volunteers. If it's not that, then we just randomly disappear and nobody see's us speak on the board or forum again unless we make another account to do so. Why bother when you don't really want to hear what we have to say in the first place? It doesn't matter what we say, Roland. You will defensively counter argue / 'challenge' people until they give up because they're tired of talking to a wall of fanatical bias. You don't want your time wasted, so why would we waste ours doing something we're told to do, but not really allowed to because TFP and volunteer biases don't permit it? Why talk wet paint on a wall into drying? Reach Gaming's points are reflective on this forum. The patterns are very real. It's at a point nowadays that they are highly predictable and we can often at times now, even see them coming before the patterns even emerge. The pattern on this discussion - highly predictable and expected. History has shown us nothing different as it continually repeats itself. Reach Gaming is right. Sad, but true. PS. Fix your guy's damn forum it's a bloody mess. I had tons of quote responses here, but it decided to not include them with the last quote. This forum is a mess. Maybe you guys could bring it up to the year 2022 instead of it feeling and behaving like a website from 2008? Yet another pattern. SMH.
  6. If you say so. It was tried. It was ignored. They do not discuss. Simple as that. Their way or the highway. It's all fine and dandy until you just so happen to trigger their opposite opinion biases a slight bit beyond those other people. Some people have natural bias toward others more so than others too. Something to consider, but perhaps it's being dismissed? We shall see. It's early days still and I expect the same treatment over here as over on Steam. I'm more than certain the same thing is going to happen here as did there, but as I said, it's early days. I'll say the wrong thing someday that goes against a bias and I will be removed. Patterns. Remember? Exactly. It's considered nonsense. The rules go one way generally and they typically favour the praise or people with power. People get lumped into the same pot of stew regardless right or wrong. What if he was a she? How would their treatment be then? I have witnessed girls being treated differently than guys. What about that situation? Funny how there is a different set of guidelines for certain types of people or their comments. You say we should ignore these baits, trolls, etc. that attempt to create situations, but at the same time, those people are allowed to continue doing it without repercussions, but the moment someone says something to oppose or call them out, they are the ones who get punished? Seems reasonable. /s Actually I've done this in past. I didn't respond to those people, but they were allowed to continue going on and on about me or my comments trashing them or trying to publicly shame myself, others or our comments. I appreciate your proposal to try and create a solution, but the sad fact is I and many others have tried your proposal, but it simply doesn't work because these mods don't care about anything other than what they want to care about. Others are allowed to continue to step out of line without consequence. Bias. If things were being done right in the first place, I wouldn't be here commenting and agreeing with Reach Gaming about these kinds of bad patterns that consistently repeat themselves. If you wrote it somewhere else, I haven't had a chance to read it. Life can get busy and I sometimes may miss things. I don't really need to prove much of anything. The proof is right in front all our faces to see. Go to Steam. Look over the discussion board history. If you're looking closely enough and have an open mind about this subject, you very well may notice patterns. If not then well, there's not much else I can do. It can all be browsed and looked over on your own. I'm not here to spoon feed. I said where it all can be found before. I'm not metaphorically digging through the trash so you don't have to do any work on your own. This pretty much proves the point in itself. It's all a big joke to them. ...proceeds to talk about moderation. Oh the irony of double standards. The double standard pattern is also another very real pattern. Reach Gaming could have pointed that out too, but if he pointed out every pattern and included in his video, it would probably be about a four hour long video.
  7. [deleted. Please do not discuss moderation here] That's probably what should have happened, but that is not what happened because I am not there and the people who were involved in trolling, baiting and all the rest are still there doing the same things they were doing prior the events that unfolded. It was bias. Simple as that. To control an open discussion atmosphere in this way is to be a dictator, but hey, that's just my opinion. Matt115 is also only right to an extent. If you see the broader spectrum of things, it's not always so and not every situation should be treated the same. I guess now you see my point about the inconsistencies of community member treatment. Well, when some people are afraid to express themselves because 'consequences', of course it's going to look very one way to you. I'm sure there are people around here that would love to speak their mind, but are pretty sure what will happen if they do and they sit on the side lines watching and listening to what others have to say, on and off this forum, wishing there weren't such heavy bias all around. Spot on. You make valid points and anyone who can't see that is being ignorant to it all. Accurate. Quite accurate indeed. The mocking response you got in return shows it. BINGO! It doesn't get more straight to the point than that. It's exactly the point I try to make, but it's side stepped in a hot minute. If a utopia is expected and desired then tell us what the standard is, set it and make it publicly clear that no negative feedback is wanted nor appreciated. That simply does not happen though and the historical discussion board trail shows it. In a non-bias atmosphere sure, those ideals work great, but when there is a heavy noticeable pattern of bias involved (just like all the patterns Reach Gaming spoke of), things rarely if ever, end fairly for whatever party is punished and this is a long term pattern that has been occurring for a very long time. There is a few persons commenting here I'd like to respond to, but I know what will happen if I do and what it will lead to. They tend to try provoke people into situations where they know they can sink the hook to get somebody ousted if they do things slyly while working with others to sway decisions. Manipulation. Psychological manipulation games to get their way is what it is. I caught on. So, I do not interact with them at all here. And how exactly does this solve the extremist bias patterns on the pro game and company moderator and community side of things? It doesn't. The patterns are an ever consistent problem and they keep repeating themselves because there is an expectation that people should not speak negatively about the game or TFP, or face the wrath of all who oppose opposite views or opinions. The patterns are highly predictable even before they occur. Long story short, the bias around feedback is speak well of all or shut up. Don't want to shut up? Fine. We'll... Anyway, that's just my opinion based on years of observation and real world experience with it all.
  8. The discussions going on, on Steam, are clean in most cases. It's no more clean or dirty over on Steam than it is here. TFP have two forum / discussion boards. One here and one on Steam. They are both platforms for discussions about this game and TFP. They have their volunteer PR team manage them both. To place relevance on one part of a community moreover another because they communicate in two different locations or both, is pretty inconsiderate. Long story short, what you're saying is the Steam member part of community who communicates over Steam is part of a junkyard. Wow. The 7DTD forum is no different than any other forum on the internet and it's no different than if people were to communicate on the Steam discussion board - at least it shouldn't be, but according to you, it is. This is one of the patterns that is bad. TFP, PR crew and part of the community have allowed the bias to sway this way and some people even encourage it. It's just another bad pattern to be lumped in with all the other bad patterns Reach Gaming talked about.
  9. Observers notice some of the most interesting things sometimes. I too am an observer. Noticed this trend long ago too.
  10. I never crossed any fine lines. [deleted] Others have done much worse on there and they have allowed it. There are a few here that are there, who get away with murder slamming all sorts of opinions on topics, but they don't get banned because they praise the game and company while doing it. Again, lots of bias around that board, by moderators. I suggest visiting the discussion board on Steam then, to see for yourself what goes on. They've been at it for years so somebody above them must approve their bias and how they enforce bias decisions. Regardless whether you are all employed by them or not, fact is you all represent TFP. Even if it is volunteer PR, you are all a team of volunteers representing the forefront of the company's interactions with the community. What you all do reflects what the company likes, dislikes, allows and disallows. Bias is allowed, but fair expression of opinions and views are not if they conflict a volunteer's bias. that's literally how they treat their community on the steam discussion board. I guess if nobody bothers to pay attention to the comments section at all, but in this particular case, it's not an informational video, but apparently being treated as such. The video wasn't about any source of information. It was Reach Gaming's opinion on what is going on with TFP and 7DTD. I mean, what are you doing here? Being influential in such a way that we should disregard his views on the topics he covered because you see YouTube as a one way street. It's not a one way street. Many people share comments and discussions in the comments just as they would on any forum or discussion board. The watcher and reader can see all side of the discussion. This is not a good direction for TFP and it is in part, a problematic pattern. Reach Gaming talked about patterns. Well, there are many bad patterns being repeated time and again and moderator bias is one of those bad patterns that has been allowed to continue for years. Moderators are supposed to be above that putting fairness and equality primary before their personal biases. Playing Kick The Can with the community isn't respectful.
  11. Vent verb. /vent/ vent your anger/frustration, etc. to do or say something to show your anger or another strong, bad feeling. So as you can see, venting frustration can be done civilly while still being polite and respectful is possible. Exactly what Reach Gaming did. Indeed it is. To understand it all you would have had to have been on Steam watching what the PR guys were doing. A few on this forum hang out on the Steam discussion board. They were involved in baiting and indirect subtle trolling as a group. It was OK for the PR guys to go along with it and troll me, but it wasn't OK for me to return the favour in a respectful way. Instead they straight up knee jerked and because I wasn't praising the game and hailing to TFP, I was bias ejected from the community. Ejected because I did not highly praise the game and because I had negative constructive criticism. They lumped my comments as being 'trolling' and 'baiting' and they banned me for doing what they were doing long before I started playing with the same cards they were playing with. It was all a process that lapsed over the course of several months. Being banned for having opinions about the company and / or game - that somebody will grudge me over my opinions and work with others (which happened on Steam) to sway an unjust ban simply because they didn't like what I had to say. The PR guys were going along with it too, allowing these other people to group report me repeatedly, to encourage a ban. They even said they had been discussing it for a while. I knew it was coming eventually because they simply don't like my feedback. One even admitted openly to having a bias for the game and TFP. Because of that bias and disagreement with my comments plus staged reports, I was unjustly banned. See above. Their PR / moderators could pass notes along to the devs, but when some of them have a strong bias, there is an extremely high probability those comments will be dismissed and disregarded. He could have posted here, but sometimes more can be said with words and voice inflection to get a point across better. Some people don't like to type and prefer talking through a video. Lots of things to consider. YouTube is a big platform and a great place to put out a message you want heard or seen, to see what others think on the subject. TFPs forum has a very tiny population contrasted to that of YouTube. Granted, some people do this, but not all do. It's become more of a thing to stereotype content creators because they have the option to monetise videos to earn a living. Well, that comment should be taken with a grain of salt. Just because someone chooses to use a different platform to express themselves doesn't make it any different than expressing our views here. Some people prefer to make videos and some people prefer to type. Either platform is a way to express ourselves and should be treated equally without bias.
  12. Anyone who understands how opinions work knows what I said is an opinion. I did not anywhere say it was a fact. You're picking through the haystack to find a needle that isn't there. I also said 'may' - not will, not does, but may. That means some people might disagree with me. I did not essentially call anyone a liar nor invalidated anyone's opinions either. I can't very well do that if nobody's commented their opinions now can I? What's happened is you didn't like my comment and you got triggered. Chill. They're just opinions.
  13. Oh yeah. So, if we should not vent frustrations with the game here on the forum, then where do you suggest people do that? Is a forum not meant for open discussion on all subjects and matters (venting frustrations included) surrounding the game and TFP? People can vent and still have a civil discussion, but I appears that isn't welcome here on this forum. Sal is right and it shows in your last comment. It's also why a lot of people don't bother commenting on the forum or Steam message board for that matter. TFP is really only getting opinions and views from one side of the fence. As you said yourself, this isn't the place to vent frustrations. Those people who want to comment on subjects know exactly what will happen if they voice their discontent and so do you. It's also why some content creators are going through YouTube instead, to voice their opinion. Reach Gaming is right. Nobody seems to want to talk about it and it's sad. I've tried many times over on Steam, but it was met with a lot of arrogance, ignorance and well, straight up disrespect and it was allowed by the you know who's. The you know who's even at some points assisted others' trolling comments to get reactions and create a situation which eventually results in a you know what. Sal and Reach Gaming are right. Some people may disagree and that's OK It's OK to agree to disagree. I have lots I'd like to say about the company and game, but alas I keep silent and don't say much because even if it is respectful and polite venting it'll go ignored or be dismissed. In your own words, "... this should not be the place to vent frustration ..." @Sal and Reach Gaming spoke the truth.
  14. I can't help fix their game. It's not my property. The problems are inside the game itself. There's really not much we can do about that. That's The Fun Pimps' responsibility to fix their game. Don't like what you're reading? Move along and don't read it. Simple. Anyone can help all they want to. I'm not stopping anyone from doing that. I'm just saying we can't fix The Fun Pimps' game for them.
  15. It went straight over your head. r/whoosh It went right over your head too. r/whoosh
