Xbox Controller is not Working on Mac

When I open the Client launcher, the use native input option is not available for mac. I am using an M1 Macbook Air and playing on Alpha 20 and my controller works when navigating on steam but is completely dead when playing on Seven Days to Die. Is there any workarounds or is there a plan for dealing with this bug?
