Bug Description:
JunkDrone when missing, not sure when. When I noticed JunkDrone missing, I exited 7D2D then restarted. Upon restarting and reloading save, the game performance was terrible, barely able to type anything or move. Upon looking at F1 console, I could see the 2 repeated messages being spammed:
2023-07-03T06:04:39 71.043 WRN 9589+8 Origin ray fail (2128.0, -278.0, 192.0)
2023-07-03T06:04:39 71.043 INF 9589+8 Origin Reposition (-2128.0, 32.0, -192.0) to (-2112.0, 32.0, -192.0)
After googling this issue, I seen others had same issue posted on steam community. See How to Fix Error "origin ray failed" and save your world! :: 7 Days to Die Support & Bug Reports (steamcommunity.com)
So I took the advice of steam poster and performed the following to fix:
1. Exited the game
2. Found my save game folder
3. Deleted drones.dat and drones.dat.bak
Deleting the missing junk drone from save game fixed the issue for me. Definitely a bug.
The "jd" option in console could use an option to "recall junkdrone to player" or at least "destroy junkdrone". I did try to "jd clear", but that did not help.
