  • Drowning Not Working & Pipe Bombs Underwater Use

    Game mode: MP client (me), MP host (friend, also replicated bug for himself)

     

    Did you wipe old saves? Yes

     

    Did you start a new game? Yes

     

    Did you validate your files? Yes

     

    Are you using any mods? No

     

    EAC on or off? What is EAC?

     

    Status: NEW

     

    Bug Description: I tried to drown.  I could not drown.  I also could still light & use pipe bombs underwater.  My friend, the game host, also could not drown.  While attempting to drown, my oxygen rolled positive after multiple minutes where I should have drowned.

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    1) Walked into water.

    2) Drowned.

    3) Didn't die.

     

    1) In water, lit pipe bomb.

    2) Couldn't throw it, but it still went off.

     

    Actual result: (description of what is occurring)

    I am not drowning and can light/set off pipe bombs underwater.

     

    Expected result: (what you expect to occur)

    That I would drown and be unable to light pipe bombs underwater.

    Thank you for reporting.

    Do you have your multiplayer settings set to "No Killing"?  If so,  it is known and there is already an internal ticket for this issue.

    For the issue with the pipe bomb,  I have confirmed it,  and will be writing a ticket for it.

    I can check the settings next time I take to my friend.  By "no killing" do you mean disabled PvP?

    Ok, talked to my friend.  The game's settings are currently on "Kill Strangers Only".

    Thank you for checking.  Yes,  there is also an internal ticket for the "Kill Strangers Only" setting causing players to take no damage from things like explosives and drowning.  Please wait for a fix.  It's marked as a must fix bug,  so it should be fixed soon.
