  • Switchview bug when user is invisible

    Summary: Strange bug occurs when switching back from 3rd person to 1st person while invisible

     

    Game Version: Alpha 20.3 b3

    Platform: PC

    OS/Version: Windows 10

    CPU Model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300HQ CPU @ 2.30GHz

    System Memory: 8GB

    GPU Model and VRAM: AMD Radeon R9 M275X (4075MB?)

    Screen Resolution: 1280x720

    Video Settings: Potato (Low)

    Game mode: SP

     

    Did you wipe old saves? Not since A20.0

    Did you start a new game? Not since A20.1

    Did you validate your files? Not since A20.2

    Are you using any mods? No

    EAC on or off? On

     

    Status: NEW

     

    Bug Description:

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

     

    1) Press F1

    2) Type 'dm' to go into debug mode

    3) Press F5 to switch to third person

    4) Press the invisible mode toggle -- should be num pad *, but I have it mapped to ]

    5) Character goes invisible

    6) Press F5 again to switch back to first person

    7) Press the invisible mode toggle so that you character is viewable again

    Expected result: Should go back to first person view properly

    Hi NekoPawtato,

    At this time, switching views from first to third person is primarily a debug function, not intended for normal gameplay. If you come across a use-case that you would see in a playthrough without debug mode on, please let me know, thank you!
