    Summary: I can't reach the Menu page - gives me the message that couldn't fully initialize Steam (only in a20).

     

    Game Version: (a20)

    Platform: (PC)

    OS/Version: (Windows)

    CPU Model: (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz   3.19 GHz)

    System Memory: (16,0 GB)

    GPU Model and VRAM: (nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)

    Screen Resolution: (1920 x 1080)

    Video Settings: (didn’t get to choose one)

    Game mode: (can’t choose one)

     

    Did you wipe old saves? (Yes)

    Did you start a new game? (No)

    Did you validate your files? (Yes/No)

    Are you using any mods? (No)

    EAC on or off? on

     

    Status: NEW

     

    Bug Description: When I try to play in a20 I receive this message: “Could not fully initialize Steam: The Steam client is not running or no connection possible.”

    I can hit “Retry” and “Exit Game” buttons, but “play offline” is grey/not working.

    I tried reinstalling the game and reinstalling steam, but nothing worked. The game runs normally in a19.

     

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

     

    1) click “play” on steam or shortcut

     

    Actual result: message: “Could not fully initialize Steam: The Steam client is not running or no connection possible.”

     

    Expected result: see menu and play

    I found out what was happening. 

    Long ago I had Comodo antivirus installed. I decided to uninstalled it, but some files are impossible to remove and block stuff. That was the case. I ran the game executable as admin and comodo remains immediately popped up. Then I could remove 7Days to Die from its records and finally play the game. thank you for the interest, now it's running. :)

    sorry for the bad english. Not my first language + sleepy. But hidden old antivirus files were the problem.
