  • Half block ceilings in POIs like countrytown_business_09 lets weather in

    NekoPawtato

Summary: Half block ceilings in POIs like countrytown_business_09 lets weather in (possibly due to opacity being 255?), so you are able to see rain/snow inside the building

I believe there was previous reports of weather occurring inside buildings early on in A20.0, but it may have been caused by a different issue? As it seems like it was occurring inside no matter the type of block. And according to the response at the time it was mentioned that it was fixed and would be in a future build (before A20.1 and A20.2 was out, so I would think the fix is already in A20.3)

    Game Version: Alpha 20.3 b3

    Platform: PC

    OS/Version: Windows 10

    CPU Model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300HQ CPU @ 2.30GHz

    System Memory: 8GB

GPU Model and VRAM: AMD Radeon R9 M275X (4075MB?)

    Screen Resolution: 1280x720

    Video Settings: Potato (Lowest)

    Game mode: SP

Did you wipe old saves? Not since A20.0

Did you start a new game? Yes

Did you validate your files? Yes

Are you using any mods? No

    EAC on or off? On

    Status: NEW

    Bug Description:

Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    1) Go to countrytown_business_09

    2) Go to the police station area near the final loot room

    3) Make it rain/snow

Actual result: It is snowing inside an enclosed building. I noticed majority of the ceiling/roof in this POI are half blocks, which has an opacity of 255 (I'm assuming this opacity is why we see weather inside, but someone correct me if im wrong)

Expected result: Should not see weather inside a building unless there's a hole in the ceiling somewhere.

Sorry you can mark this as a duplicate, I think it is the same issue as the link I posted above. I went to another house with full blocks instead of half blocks and it still rained inside. I think the opacity 255 was just a red herring
