    1. when you press "U" to bring up the item screen in create mode,
    Sometimes you can "drag" an item to fit it in your inventory. However, it usually freezes. Even if it works once, it freezes on the second and subsequent drags. Not sure how often this happens, but it is frequent. 3.
    3. if this happens, you can still move items from the creative screen to inventory at least once by starting the game again and trying again.

    I attempted your repro for the freeze, but was able to drag and drop items to completely fill my inventory without the game freezing.
