    Video Settings: I can't get in to see them
     

    Game mode: Client on dedii I think?? I don't understand since I CAN'T BOOT.

    Did you start a new game? I can't get that far

    Bug Description: I cannot boot past "loading particles" no matter how long I wait, and the second I click my screen, it stops responding.

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    1) Boot game

    2) there it is.

     

    Actual result: The game is not loading past "loading particles" and clicking the game window causes it to stop responding.

     

    Expected result: For the game to load.

    Thank you for your report. I can understand the frustration and hope you can assist with some additional information to get to the bottom of the issue.

    Can you tell me whether you did a fresh install of the game since Version 1 was released on experimental? If not, are you willing to uninstall the game files and old game data to start fresh and see if the issue still occurs?

    I did a fresh reinstall, yes. It finally resolved itself by the... I dunno, fourth reinstall? I figured something wasn't downloading properly so I kept uninstalling and reinstalling. It still takes a VERY long time to load anything and I physically cannot touch my computer mouse or it crashes, but it WILL boot into the game after maybe 10 to 15 minutes of waiting.

    I believe so, and I did that before posting here. I followed the devs clean game instructions on steam, twice. When it didn't help, I started the numerous reinstalls.

    In Summary:
    I was having a very similar issue. But with some major differences. I was running a level with one of my friends and my spouse. The three of us had done some pretty hardcore progress. I.e. Were clearing tier 4 POI's for quests, tier 5's for fun, and had leveled a nearby hill for the sake of opening up more view at our base. I just finished running the Shotgun Messiah POI in the Snow Biome at the Shooting Range. My wife was with me. We started driving back to base and she lagged, glitched and disconnected. When she loaded back in, instead of being with me she was back at the Shooting Gallery POI. After getting her back we drove back to base and went to cash in the quest. As she entered Trader Rekt's Place she fell to the bottom of the world and then disconnected. After that she was stuck on the Loading screen without any ability to connect. I took a single step and also fell through the world with the same results. 

    I tried changing profiles, no change, I tried adjusting the settings to the server, no change, and I tried letting the game load (For 45 mins. I have 32 gb ram and game is installed on an SSD so it usually loads in about 1 min max.) No change.

    I don't know if the settings caused the issue or if it was because we had filled our base with so many steel chests, which were all nearing full, outside of a traders where we removed a fairly large hill. The game repeatedly loaded in the graphics for the hill despite it having been removed. 
     

    Game mode: Friends Only. I Was host.

    Did you wipe old saves? No, I did now, misunderstood what I was doing and the level is deleted so it doesn't much matter now. We'll just start a fresh save. 

     

    Did you start a new game? Yes

     

    Did you validate your files? Yes

     

    Are you using any mods? I was, but the mod was for an old version and didn't work. So I just left it not working in the background. It was a mod that added an extra skill point on level up. 
    Did you try to reproduce without mods? Yes, no change.

    Bug Description: See above. Fell through the world. Game loaded until "Click to load character" and then it just loaded forever and wouldn't boot. 

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

     No need, It reproduced over and over regardless of my changes until I gave up and did a data clean.

    I've seen a few threads discussing the same issue on steam forums but no one seems to know the exact cause. Hope this helps. If you'd like I can post the rest of the pastebins from today. There are like 6 for whatever reason.

    Firetype's issue likely is the Intel microcode bug, which a bios update should fix.

     

    @Smokeytaco12 that's an entirely different issue, so please open a new report. Logs are desired to be put on pastebin too please. We would need a log of the issue happening, as those look like normal logs, and don't include your wife or any gameplay session.

     

    Exclusion from Windows Defender/Security (the Real-time Scan exclusion list) for both the install folder and save folder -- for both host/client -- can help.
