Projectile drop/drift

One idea that would change the gameplay a lot and add a bit of realism would be projectile drift/drop. Such as with the crossbow....I can currently use this as a sniping weapon with reckless abandon. I think it would be cool to have an arc. You could do the same with the rifles for extreme long distances and perhaps in the future add wind :P Anyone else think this is a good idea? Anything to add?

Mount and Blade comes to mind. They have a nice way of calculating arrow/bolt/projectile drop that is tied with your ability/proficiency with said weapons. Quite possible once character skills/progression gets implemented. At first your bow/bolt drops off at ~10m fired level then with repeated use (proficiency build up) it caps to ~30m Crossbow sniping a dog from 2 (city)blocks away while standing on top of a 5 story building in a windy(ambient sound) area is just lol edit: This opens up bolos, grapples, throwing spears with sticks of dynamite.

This is actually a very important feature imo. Players running around in MP servers sniping everything on the hardest settings with a .44 is ridiculous. Sure a .44 has a lot of stopping power, but its range and accuracy suffers horribly from the lack of spin being less rifling.
