Random Events!

Are random events on the roadmap?

 

Right now you just have random wandering hordes and random sleepers.

 

What about:

 

Random events at your base!

 

  • Rat Infestation (All food eaten)
     
  • Gopher Infestation (All crops eaten)
     
  • Thief (NPC sneaks in to steal stuff and run away)
     
  • Murderer (NPC sneaks in to wait for player to kill them)
     
  • Takeover (NPC Squad takes over base while player is gone and defends base from them)

 

Random events in the world!

 

  • Firestorm (Biome gets engulfed in flame. Player begins to suffocate due to smoke. Heat increases dramatically. Player must leave the area.)
     
  • Earthquake (Structural integrity weakened by 1 to 3 blocks in area)
     
  • Flood (Water level in world increased by a flat 10 to 20 blocks after a ton of rain. Mines are underwater. These aren't actual water blocks but just a flat "level" of water that increases from bedrock to about 20 blocks higher than the avg terrain ground level. This is to help performance since only the entity's height from bedrock is needed to determine if underwater.)
