Wooden frames and rebar frames really should be about a third of the size they are now and when you upgrade them they first lay bricks or cinder blocks on the outside and then gyprock/gypsum on the inside. If you mean the blocks shouldn't be cubes but more close to planes, then maybe i'll agree with you. But in every pseudo-voxel-engine this causes problems with corners, accessibility for PC/NPC characters and such and would probably result in numerous special blocks and other issues. But it could be implemented in a quite elegant way i guess. It just shouldn't be a priority right now with so much essential stuff missing.
