Adding Spartan-85 to the videos for a V1.1 play through.

Preppocalypse can be downloaded on the Mod Launcher here: https://7d2dmodlauncher.org/

Alternatively, it can be manually downloaded from Nexus here: https://www.nexusmods.com/7daystodie/mods/5295 (This location also contain a custom World and 96 Slot Backpack)

It is also highly recommended toinstall 0-Score from here: https://github.com/SphereII/SphereII.Mods/releases/latest

Preppocalypse is not dependent on it, but if it is in the Mods folder, Preppocalypse has set up a condition that will see it, and turn on the 'Crafting from Containers feature.

This has been a much requested feature and can still be seen in V1.0.

ABOUT

Preppocalypse is an expansion for 7 Days to Die, from the perspective of a Prepper. In the context of 7 Days to Die, a Prepper is a survivor who prepared in advance for adverse situations and made it through the initial ‘event’ stage and aftermath. Preppocalypse places the player in the subsequent afterwards.

While Preppocalypse is considered an overhaul, it's aim is not supposed to replace the dynamics of 7 Days to Die that we are all familiar with. The aim is simply to extend and enhance. This will be quite evident once the different layers show how they are integrated. Since V1.0 adds in the Challenges feature, Preppocalypse Quests and 7 Days to Die Challenges and Quests will see some overlap. However, one track is for the Survivors while another is for the Preppers. They can both function appropriately in parallel with occasional hops into each others' features, such as Campfire crafting and placement.

Due to vigilance from before the initial ‘event’, a Prepper already has some features in place. These include increased inventory capacity, enhanced skill potential and choice, and access to other benefits considered helpful for survival. Preppocalypse recognizes a Prepper has an increased chance to thrive. As a tradeoff, in addition to the grunt, feral, and radiated hostile classes, there are ‘others’ out there to provide a more challenging and hostile environment. They will mostly be seen as game stage progresses, but be prepared for some surprises during Horde Night or in the biomes. This expansion builds on the post-apocalyptic theme of 7 Days to Die through an additive approach. As such, the majority of features will be very familiar. Additions are intuitive, enhancing, immersive, in context, supportive, and appropriately more threatening. While there will be periods of extremes, considered choices can restore balance.

Players can expect the following:
- Upgraded default zombies in the biomes, hordes, and Game Stage linked POIs
- Larger slot features with 60 slot player inventory, 3 slot forge, and 12 player crafting/scrapping slots
- Custom HUD
- A greater abundance of Prepper style quest POIs (custom and TFP conversions)
- Additional recipes that accommodate Prepper/Survivalist/Bushcrafter traits
- Upgraded and custom items to facilitate survival against stronger hostiles
- Custom questing opportunities as well as other game play features that are in context with a Prepper’s experience of the afterwards
- Custom Quality of Life features such as Fish Traps, Coops, and Hives
- Increased size of Old West, Rural, Country Town, and Towns (Cities remain the same for performance)
as well as other game play features that are in context with a Prepper’s experience of the afterwards.

Before Playing:

- EAC must be off, only if using 0-Score

- The Game Menu Options have been expanded in certain fields, such as more Horde Night zombies and loot respawn rate

- Be careful about adding other mods (Larger backpack inventory already offers 60 slots and adding another mod for such features may cause conflict and blank out the inventory area)

Here are a few videos and images to explain:

Spartan-85 works through a 2nd series of Preppocalypse from V1.1 release and is methodically introducing the highlights and adapting to changes as they occur. Spartan-85 admits he doesn't always display the skills and strengths of hardcore streamers, but that is actually the thing a lot of us like about these streams because they are dynamic and spontaneous, and more often than not find a way. Spartan-85 is very well experienced with 7DTD from early Alpha and console release to the current V1 and excels in the systematic nature of things. Well worth a watch for any first timers to Preppocalypse who are considering a play through.

Hirnsturz is a German speaking streamer who is very active across many game genres. However, this is the beginning video for Preppocalypse Season 2, for V1.0. Hirnsturz predominantly speaking in German but is actually using English localization and switches to English speech from time to time. Regardless, you could simply watch Hirnsturz with no audio and still learn a lot about the dynamics of Preppocalypse. If you see a Hirnsturz POI in the Old West or Wilderness, this is the owner. Hirnsturz can be considered a highly competent game who is very organized and technically efficient. As such, his skill and ability exceeds those of a casual gamer and there will be things to learn and consider for your own gameplay.

And here is BunnyNZ, who is teaming up with her sister iPossum, also for a Season 2 play through. They have spawned into New Zedland and will attempt to survive and thrive. She also has her own POI called Misha's Clothing Store in the commercial area. BunnyNZ and her sister can be considered casual gamers, but time and experience with 7DTD clearly shows and they often work their way out of difficult situations.

When a player first joins the World, a short message appears with a brief introduction.

The player's toolbelt shows a number of custom icons. These are for a Preppocalypse Starter Kit, and a number of custom Quests specific to Preppocalypse. Some of these are looping and continual, while others can only be completed once. Some can be repeated if we find a new Quest Note while looting. One of these if the 'Stun Baton Bash - Hazmat'. Preppocalypse contains a number of challenging zombies that add an extra Tier of challenge beyond Radiated. This quest requires us to eliminate 10 Hazmat zombies that are carrying Stun Batons. There is a catch. The elimination will only count if you use a Stun Baton. Once you have completed 10 eliminations, you are rewarded with 1 Skill Point. At first these zombies will be pretty rare and only appear in the biomes or special POIs. As we progress, they will appear in regular POIs, Horde Night, and Wandering Hordes.

spacer.png

The Prepper Stockpile Quest is a one off challenge. It consists of 5 parts with multiple requirements in each part. It begins simply and follows player progression.

spacer.png

The contents of the Preppocalypse Starter Kit looks quite generous, but should you meet a special zombie out in the biomes... it won't feel all that beneficial.

spacer.png

Preppers will be rewarded with 7 Skill Points upon completion of the V1.0 new challenges Starter Quest. It remains well worth completing.

spacer.png

Without giving too much away, expect vehicles to have some performance gains. For example, the bicycle accepts two players, performs a bunny hop, and sees a speed increase.

Getting from Trader Rekt to Trader Jen can be quite the trek...

spacer.png

Preppers can put that Starter Kit knife to good use, by butchering zombies for basic resources. However, should you meet a boss type zombie, you may also get something in context with their theme.

spacer.png

Expect to see custom POIs and conversions to existing POIs. Expect to see a huge Old West Township where Survivors migrated out of the cities...

spacer.png

Blood Moon Horde Night can be leisurely or very extreme depending on how you set it up. If you select 32 zombies per player for a Blood Moon Horde Night, you will get it.

spacer.png

Good luck out there, Preppers.

OPTIONAL FILES AND MIRRORS
In addition to the base mod folder (V1-Preppocalypse), a number of other mods can be added to enhance the experience. For example, one popular addition is 0-Score mod. 0-Score is already partially integrated into Preppocalypse using a new V1.0 condition feature. It means if you add 0-Score into your Mods folder, it will automatically allow the 'Craft from Containers' feature to be active. This was a big request in A21. 0-Score used to be bundled directly into Preppocalypse, but 0-Score updates come quite rapidly. Downloading 0-Score individually is faster than waiting for it to be uploaded, before downloading it as a bundle.

For good measure, here is the link.
0-Scorehttps://github.com/SphereII/SphereII.Mods/releases/latest
This mod can be downloaded from sphereii’s download area. This link may change in the future. 0-Score was requested for its ‘Craft from Containers’ feature, and ‘Fire’ feature where combustible items in game will burn. It also makes up a dependency for the NPC Mod. By default, Preppocalypse turns on its Craft from Containers feature, if 0-Score is added as a mod. Adding in extras features such as the fire needs to be done manually.

To further expand on that, we can use the NPC Mod. This actually uses 0-Score as a dependency.
NPC Modhttps://community.7daystodie.com/topic/26974-npcmod-and-addons/
This mod is a combination of 0-Score and 0-XNPCCore. It adds hostile, neutral, and friendly NPCs into the biomes and POIs, where applicable. 0-Score powers a lot of additional things beyond NPCs and can be installed as a stand-alone mod, for just those features. However, the NPC Mod adds a lot of immersion to Preppocalypse, such as the optional Prepper NPCs made by Darkstardragon specifically with a Preppocalypse theme in mind.

Preppocalypse already expands from 45 Backpack slots to 60. However, it can be taken up to 96.
V1-Preppocalypse-KHA21-96BBM – This mod can be downloaded as an optional file when downloading Preppocalyse. This is currently in the Nexus Optional File area. It will load after the base mod folder and overwrite the 60 slots with 96 slots. Thank you to Khaine from Darkness Falls for sharing this mod within the community with such an open use policy.

While Preppocalypse already adds it own Preppo Car, and enhanced default vehicles, there is always room for more. These vehicle mods are compatible with Preppocalypse.

Bdub’s Vehicleshttps://community.7daystodie.com/topic/11875-a21-bdubyahs-modlets/
This mod adds a collection of Bdubyah’s vehicles. This is a very well known vehicle mod. In fact, Bdubyah provided technical support on how to make the Preppocalypse Gyrocopter fly like a helicopter for smoother aviation.

Vehicle Madness – This mod adds a collection of 60+ drivable vehicles with a dynamic that allows broken vehicles in the towns to be repaired and driven. Easy to search for in a search engine, and a link will be provided for V1.0 when available. Ragsy and team have continued to update and further expand as 7 Days moves through its roadmap goals.

Oakraven Mono Bikes and War Pighttps://community.7daystodie.com/topic/35891-v10-oakraven-collection/
This mod adds a variety of 6 Mono Bikes. The download link can be found in the above link. Oakraven is in the
following credits area since so many of his mods are integrated into Preppocalypse.

This mod adds a collection of Bdubyah’s vehicles. This is a very well known vehicle mod. In fact, Bdubyah provided technical support on how to make the Preppocalypse Gyrocopter fly like a helicopter for smoother aviation.

Easy to search for in a search engine, and a link will be provided for V1.0 when available. Ragsy and team have continued to update and further expand as 7 Days moves through its roadmap goals.

Here are a few images to explain:

When a player first joins the World, a short message appears with a brief introduction.

spacer.png

Oakraven - Quality of Life additions such as Bee Hives, Chicken Coops, and the Rock Drill. Oakraven always goes far and beyond to assist mods and overhauls, and it has been a positive partnership on many levels.
SphereII - 0-Score provides crafting from containers, fire, and a host of other options.
KhaineGB - Kind use of quality-of-life modlets such as 3 slot forge, 60 slot backpack, and 12 slot queue.
EndZ Devs - Thee Legion and May Red for bringing the Preppocalyptic Car from Unity to game.
Darkstardragon - Prepper expansions for the NPC Mod.
bdubyah - Template code advice and support.

Expanded features

Preppocalypse can be downloaded here: https://www.nexusmods.com/7daystodie/mods/5295

It will be added to the 7D2D Mod Launcher once it's all updated and ready for V1.0. This has traditionally been when Experimental switches over to the first Stable release.

- EAC must be off due to custom code

- The Game Menu Options have been expanded in certain fields, such as more Horde Night zombies and loot respawn rate

- Be careful about adding other mods (Larger backpack inventory already offers 60 slots and adding another mod for such features may cause conflict and blank out the inventory area)

Here are a few images to explain:

When a player first joins the World, a short message appears with a brief introduction.
