Since Alpha 21, it is no longer possible to fetch water from the water source with the Empty Water Jar, which means that there is now little advantage to setting up a base near a water source. But I like the fact that water is now difficult to obtain and water is required as a material for crafting, which makes water management more immersive.
However, it is not immersive to have a water source and not be able to drink any of it. But if the Empty Water Jar is implemented again so that you can make as much clean water as you want in large quantities, that would be extremely less challenging.

So, hey, how about adding an electric water purifier that can draw water from the source and purify it in the later stages of the game?
Like "upward compatible with Dew Collector, requires power supply, but collects water faster and can stock more water at a time."

Of course, if that happens, it would be nice to have more craft recipes that use water as a material for that. Like using water to make concrete.
